My STI is wounded...she's back pg2
Driving on 28N today in traffic around 1230. Traffic in front of me started braking hard, so I did the same. I was watching my rear view mirror and noticed the guy behind me coming fast. He got closer and closer, I started to move out of the way and smack he hits me from behind. He got a ticket but my car is messed up and was towed from the scene. Now tomorrow starts the process of what's wrong with it. It should be at the body shop either now or tomorrow a.m.
EVERYBODY WAS OK I hope to go 100% wingless now! My tire ripped down the side wall, the whole wheel was pulled out and the rear bumper as well as quarter panel got screwed up. I'm really hoping my coilover isn't messed up. Other than coilovers all other suspension components are stock. Putting that tow hook to work And here's the rental for sh**s and giggles

I am sorry to see that. The damage doesn't look too terrible. Hopefully they get you back on the road quickly.

Rentals not that bad, would be pretty sweet if it was the SRT8 lol. It actually rides very nice and has a crap load of room on the inside. It's the 6 cylinder but its got decent power for what it is
. Trunk appeared to be ok. But I'm assuming they're gonna have to paint the whole rear end so that's where I'm hoping to go wingless..may just buy a wingless trunk and have them paint it while its all being painted. Who knows, 1st thing I want to know is what's messed up.. |

Damn! Just saw your post over in the MAIC.
Glad your okay. How fast was he going when he hit you? You didn't get checked out? Sometimes you have pain a few days later. Hope you don't get that tho. Keep us updated. |

One of my worst nightmares. It doesn't matter how good of a driver you are some things are unavoidable... at least you had the mindset to check your mirror and attempt to move out of his way... most likely would have been A LOT worse had they gone straight into you from behind.

96Accord: he was probably between 15-20mph. I did not get checked out, we're all completely fine. Not sore at all.
Hater06: I was already on coilovers lol Prescottn6ft7: your correct, it would have been much worse if it was dead on. I had both my kids in the back seat so obviously that's what I was most concerned with. I'm assuming but I think he was texting. The way he continued to come at me then slam on the brakes at the last second after I had already been on my brakes for several seconds. He clearly was not paying attention to what was in front of him. |

So the cars at the body shop. It's being pulled apart. From what I could see at a quick glimpse, the lower control broke and my Mach V wheel broke. Couldn't really tell but my coilover seemed to have survived. But not 100% sure.
So now I'm shopping for lower control arms.. They also told me in order for this car to be totaled it would have to exceed around $13,500 worth of damage. They don't anticipate that, but can't be sure until its totally pulled apart. |

Lol yes I did. But it starts to wear on you after a while. I've had 2 rsxs, s2000, Z06, and a few other modded rough riding cars. That's why I say I'd go into something else. Like a G37s sedan or something.
Hopefully its not totaled, I'd like to still be able to keep the STI to get it paid off and make it my project car. Ill keep this updated |

Believe it or not this base Charger is actually pretty damn nice. It's smooth as hell and feels real solid. It's got decent power for a 6cylinder trying to move a boat, not something I'd want to own, but I'm sure the SRT8 would be a fun car to drive.
