Have a Nice Day? Watch out at Tully and Capital Expressway, and weekend woes-Leave your front light on

Man people are crazy aroudn that part. I was on Capital Expressway turning left onto Tully. I was in the righthand left turning lane with maybe a late 80s truck next to me. As you all know it was pretty damp today. The light turned green, I looked both ways and began to move. I was going the same speed as the truck on the side of me which wasn't fast or slow. Then all of a sudden this dumb blue taurus comes hauling butt making a righthand turn onto Tully. The sign says yield but I guess he thought it meant I was supposed to yield. I was forced to try to get into the middle lane but the truck on the other side wanted to be in that lane and started to come over. So now my choices were, slam on the brakes and see what happens, hit the truck, hit the taurus, or hit the gas. So as anyone else would do I hit the gas and watched as I NARROWLY avoid a bad collision. But then I see the taurus panic and I'm not sure exactly what he did (brake hard or try to peel out) but he lost control of the car and hit and even went over the curb and took out a bush. It would have been scary to be crunched by an older truck and a big bad taurus.

The weekend woes part: My friend and I went for a fun drive around the city on Saturday night. We got back home at about 2AM or so....He said "Don't tell me someone just broke into my car!" As I drove past his car to get into the driveway. I said "What??" And when I stopped the car we ran to his car. He has a 98 Chevy Prizm with a windshield drop of VEHICLESOUND.COM (his site that he owns) and two JL Audio decals on his rear windows. We ran to it and noticed that someone came by and must have used a bat or something but made two giant holes in the sides of the rear window. We then looked at my dad's Buick in front of his and it got hit also. They didn't take anything, they just went and smashed the rear windshield. We were like "Holy sh" We drove around and noticed two other cars were hit also, an older model Toyota Corolla, and an older model Toyota Celica. Also upon our observations, we noticed that the cars that were hit were all parked near the sidewalk and not in driveways and were also in dimmly lit areas.
So everyone please take caution. Turn on your front porch light as the little buttheads didn't seem to like anyplace with light. Turning on your light can also scare away people from doing other things as they might be thinking they will be seen or heard.

I heard there was a massive winshield breaking in Fremont like a week ago. Maybe some car glass shop need to create some business oppertunities???

That really sucks when bounch of bored kids got nothing better to do except causing destructions. We should spank them while naked in public.

My house is in the Hidden Glen housing complex near Eastridge and Raging Waters (East San Jose). When it happened we were just cruising around having some fun in downtown san jose with a blacklight (we covered the car in white towels and turned the black light on and drove around....lotta people looked, hahahah).

And yesterday when they came to repair the windshields, the guy said that the one for the Prizm is dealer only so my friend has to wait a week to get it repaired, and the Buick's black surroundings holding the windshield on is also dealer only, so now my dad has to wait a week also....Man I'm just glad my car wasn't outside....

andrew,

sorry to hear, but when i came to pick up my exhaust your area does look pretty dark and very quiet. yeah, it is a good idea to keep the lights on. and the roads around your place seemed to me that they have speed written all over them. but i didn't dare to speed in an area that i'm not familiar with (cops).

vandelism... the worlds most ridiculous and pointless crime. i hope someone catches whatever ignorant ppl did that and vandalizes them! maybe some nice graffitti across their backs or something, or a tatoo across their forhead that says vandal...

yeah, too dark IMO. I'm gonna start to leave the front porch on at night now, maybe it'll help.

I live near evergreen valley college and to get there you have to exit capitol expressway. That WHOLE F'IN section of freeway Blows BIG donkey NADS! i hate driving over there! People can't merge and the traffic always sucks. in the morning i actaully drive south to hellyer to get on the freeway to go North on 101.

Oh yeah, there were some vandals around my neighborhood who were tearing off side mirros with drive by baseball antics. My old car was hit and so were like five on the block.

Cool

if we only had laws like singapore, except for the no chewing bubble gum part. but the laws in US is just too loose. nothing happens to the vandels even if they get caught. what, give them a citutation or whatever. i totally think that it's unfair, they can get away with nothing happening and we, the unlucky would have to pay for our damages.

too bad they dont have like special cameras on the street lights that are activated by loud noises that are unusual.

It just sucks to see that people get their kicks by jacking up other people's cars. I already got keyed-its small though, maybe 4 inches-on the passenger side. I'm scared of what people will do once I own my Lamborghini

Wow, sorry to hear about all the nasty business going on down there. Glad I'm coming to pick up my wheels during daylight hours.

See you Saturday.
