Subaru Banner Any ideas or suggestions?

I've got a '95 Impreza 1.8 5 spd, and I'm looking to roast the civics that all the "cool" people drive. As of now I can just beat the worst of them (stock). I have the smallest of mods right now which includes a K&N air filter, and a new coil with great wires and the best plugs I could find. I would like to start with the exhaust system from the headers to the bumper, and any detailed info on such would be appreciated. Thanks for your time on this, what better people than scooby owners to help with...anything.

Should we assume that engine swaps are out of the question?

1 register at rs25.com, because although this site is "old" it mainly carries to a turbo crowd.

2. your car is possibly the slowest impreza made, with the exception of the automatic version of your current car.

3. a phase II EJ25 (2.5l motor out of a 99-01 impreza RS) will bolt and wire right up, with minimal modification, and with minimal mods, will actually make a decently quick car with such a good starting platform that you currently have.
