Some quick shots after getting the winter wheels. It was getting pretty dark by the time I got home so I just took these really quick.

Unfortunately the spacers I ordered apparently ended up not fitting which is quite confusing because I got the Ichiba V2's that everyone gets for the stock BBS. Sooooo going to have to deal with that. BUT the wheels and tires are on the car and I am quite happy with the color.

Some shots of the Summer Setup: Enkei RFP1 17x8.5 +40 with Bridgestone Potenza RE11 245x40x17

And a quick shot I took after cleaning the car the other week before I swapped em out:

Wheels the day I was painting them in decent non direct lighting:

And on the car this evening - BBS 17x8 +53 wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 235x45x17 (why that size? Because I'm dumb. But I believe that is the JDM OEM Sizing?)

Well, what do you all think? The blue makes me want to go back to a stock bumper and get rid of the GTR/EVO/Audio Mask.

I'll get some better shots when the sun comes out in Seattle next.

Edit: If anyone is curious on the paint I did a Satin Black undercoat with a Metallic Blue over top, then cleared. All Duplicolor High Performance Wheel spray paints.

Cheers~

Doesn't suit subarus IMO.

Thanks! I'm really happy with how they turned out. I should have taken some before shots, the lips were all really abused. I didn't fill them at all, but I think the cleanup brought them back further than i thought or was planning to bring them back. I just wish the spacers could have gone on with them...and the used coils I bought off a friend weren't on their way out the door and were instead already installed.

Yeah. I did it back in college one spring break where I didn't go anywhere and was just bored and wanted to do something to my car. At the time I was planning to do a whole panda theme to the car along with the front end - front lip, gloss black roof, limited lip spoiler in black, black wheels, etc. But I ended up only getting the front lip because I was in school and had more important things to spend my money on.

Aaaand now I think i've grown out of it. And the black roof. I still want the limited spoiler though and the 06-07 roof vane in black. But I think coilovers need to come first.

Got a quick shot today. Too early for an ideal sunshine shot, but the stee is dirty anyway so whatever. Dropped the contrast up a touch, and the brightness down a bit, so they look a bit more purple in this shot. I plan to clean her and take some real shots at a decent location sometime next week if the weather works out.

Liking the blue so far though, it's subtly loud and looks like a nice purple at night.

And yeah, that is a tree growing out of my car. I call her "Sue."

Cheers!

Sorry for the crappy pic. Right now, my snow wheels are green. I'm thinking of dipping my regular wheels and I kind of want pink.... Any other color suggestions?

My autocross wheels just came back from the powdercoater, Rota Actions with BFG Rivals. I couldn't decide between green and orange so I went with 2 of each.

I powdercoated these Enkei Raijins to "wine" color. Loving it! Too bad I can't keep them for myself though

Repainted my stock wheels gold. Did it the rattle can method. Light sanding, Dupli-color primer and Dupli-color Chrome Gold paint. Turned out great. I love red on gold. Fell in love with the color scheme when I first saw Katie O's Rumblewagon.

Just picked up the disks for my VS-XXs from the powdercoater. I'm absolutely in love. Pictures just can't do these wheels justice. There is an absurd amount of metallic flake that just isn't captured by a flash, and the red changes color from a deep maroon to candy apple depending on the lighting. I'm currently waiting on wider lips to come in to get these put back together and on the car.

You can follow my build progress on IG @needzmoarlow or my build thread on Stanceworks.

Mocked up with the original lips with the flash on. The shadows kind of give you an idea of how different light changes the color.

No flash. Comes out as a deep maroon looking color.
