excellent... looks like you got a "good one"... heheh

Cobb consistently impresses me... their tuning style isn't for everyone, but it sure suits me well...

Great numbers WR-REX!
Especially in this Texas heat.

Now putting that power to the ground is a whole different story.

13.2 will be tough in this weather and with a stock turbo. 245/245 is very nice, but the hill shaped torque curve ( I assume) may prove to challenge you especially in 90 degree weather. Lauch will be key (as always). If a small number is more important than knowing the cars daily performance, you will want to reduce the weight of you car some. A little Sunco would hurt either. Personally, I would go che' na chu ral.

Realistically, I say 13.5 at best (natural), but I hope you do get the 13.2. I think a sub 1.8 sec 60' will be a must.

GO WR-REX GO !!!!!

Are you going to HRP!

Yeah I say 13.4-13.5. But YOU MUST LAUNCH at no more than 1.8 for a decent run.... a 1.9 60' would prolly get you 13.7 a 1.8 60' will prolly get you 13.5 or less... 1.7 60' will get you to 13.3 or 13.2.....

Great numbers.

Has anyone pulled a 1.7 60ft? What was your technique?

yes

smaller diameter tires, lots of power, high rpm, quick clutch slip.

it can be done without the smaller diameter tires too =)

the trick is, get your revs to like 4k or so when waiting for the lights to come down, once they start, blip the throttle up to redline or so, this will build a bit of boost.

you can practice the technique anywhere if you have a boost guage. practicing making the boost build in nuetral

Holy fawking $hit! I think you might have the record for stock turbo! Post the dyno ASAP.

I've also cut a 1.79 60'. The keep is building boost, and POWER.

Cool

Those are really strong numbers. Did they tell you what your peak boost was?

When I left there with my pure Club Spec a couple weeks ago - I pulled a 224/223 hp/Tq running only 14.5 peak boost.

good numbers! just curious, at what rpm were you getting your peaks at? i think the overall curve is going to be of more importance....i have recently experienced this after taking my car to cobb to tune the txs stage 2....big mistake!...and i don't want to get into all of the details....i'll save that for another post...but the end result was the car just felt a lot slower even though the peak numbers were somewhat better....as someone mentioned previously, their tuning is not for everyone....definitely not for me! and if you run a unichip from another dealer i would think twice before going to cobb for tuning...they tune very differently....questionably imho as they cannot provide you with basic air/fuel data after a dyno tuning session!....best of luck in the 1/4 mile...and regarding the 1.7 1.8 60's...better your transmission than mine!

Sure they can, did you bother to ask Trey or even look at the Air/fuel monitor when they were tuning your car on the dyno.

Hey Dazz1,

Call them up, ask them for a print out of your air/fuel...i talked to ethan...he will tell you they do not log the data and couldn't give it to you if they did...I speak from experience....maybe this is because i walked in off the street with 100% turboxs products.....it seemed to bother them quite a bit......and yes you could watch the air/fuel meter but as you can see on your own video the meter readings were all over the place...i saw a 17.4 for a second there.....a little lean perhaps?.....it is my understanding and it is the advice of turboxs that you need to data log the info and this should be standard with any dyno tune! On the other hand, I did not deal with Trey. He was not in that day. For peace of mind, I am looking into buying delta dash to do my own data logging. Cobb claimed my car ran lean....they have no data to verify this!

I can change my downpipe out in about 11 mins, so I will be able to pass inspection.
