Upgrading to Stage 2 Reflash Question
I'm taking my subaru from stock to stage 2, and I plan to reflash using opensource and tactrix. My question is after I put on everything (uppipe, downpipe, TBE) Should I flash right then, or should I just start it up to check for leaks, which will probably throw CELs, and THEN reflash to stage 2?

id start up and check for leaks first, i had no problems running around without a tune after i got rid of my cats (except for a CEL and my cruise control not working, but that didnt come about till a day and a half after i put on the parts) drove around for 2 or 3 weeks without a tune, no problems

^^^What he said. Make sure it is mechanically sound before flashing it. Most Stage 2 maps have the O2 CEL and Fuel cap CEL disabled in my experience.

With the new piping and old calibration you might find your boost is all over the place. If you do drive without the reflash, make sure to log or at least monitor your boost. Do the same after the reflash to make sure everything seems in order. Have fun! Mark |
