Stg.2 Map UTEC help
Here is the fuel map, this is the way it came loaded from turboxs I have not touched it yet. It looks different from the stg.2 map I downloaded from their website so i was wondering what you guys though of it.. excuse me if it comes out looking weird because it does right now but maybe it will look different when I post it.

When posting things like tables and UTEC logs and maps it is MUCH easier to read if you use the code tags
(code) and (/code) before and after (of course use brackets instead of parens) It will preserve spaces that way. Here's an example from part of your fuel map: Code:

There are 2 versions of the stage 2 map. One for 93 octane and one for 91 octane.

I wonder if the stg.2 map loaded on my UTEC was for 91, I know there were two versions.
Well I guess it doesn't matter anyway since I've already begun changing the maps to a more aggresive tune with success so far. I've only had the UTEC for a day though so I'm really only messing with the ign. timing and boost for now. I don't think I'm going to touch the fuel map unless you guys see anything wrong with it |

That IS the 91 Octane Stage 2 map. If you are on 93 octane, I'd re-start with that map.
The fueling is dramatically different between the two. Obviously the 93 octane map runs leaner. |

It is the 91octane map, oh ok that makes sense.
I just made some minor changes to the timing, and boost map tonight and man does the car pull hard. I raced my freinds Evolution last night and I only pulled half a car on him by 110mph, but tonight after I made the changes I had almost a car and a half on him going from the same mph/gear. Maybe it's other factors whatever Still fun I'm going to try and load up my map in a few minutes when my laptop battery is done charging. I'm having so much fun tuning and datalogging I should have bought the utec sooner it much more fun than just bolting on some mod IMO. |

Above are the newest map I am running.. The car pulls smooth and very strong I'm very happy with the progress I've made with the UTEC.
Peak boost is about 17psi when it's colder outside like at night time today. Havn't had any knock, or flashing CEL. I checked with some dataloggin also and no knock. I'm not sure where to go from here. If I try to advance the ignition anymore is it worth it? Any tips? This is the first time I've tried to tune a car before.. |

You should really change your boost mapping to closed loop. You'll see faster boost (especially in the lower gears) and more consistent boost levels.

I'm sending you my OLB map tonight for you to look at - I am going to tune a CLB map this weekend, I need to tune another that is happier with the AC running (given it's getting a little warm in TX now ). My current map bogs a little too much for my liking. CHeers Rich |

yeah it's about 90F here now too. I just don't go into boost until night time now .
I'll take a look at that map definatly thanks.. |

Here's my current stage 2 OLB map - you're welcome to take a look. All standard usage disclaimers apply - this map is running slightly leaner on my car than the base TXS stage 2. My performance mods: - Autospeed catless uppipe - Vishnu IC hoses - TXS catted stealthback - Prodrive muffler - GFB BOV - TXS ABC wound out 2.5 turns My UTEC settings: - Boost gain set to 45 - Standard TPS calibration for 0-100% , I hit 100% dead on WOT - MAP sensor calibration is accurate -9.4psi vacuum 16.5psi at 4krpm in 4th I am also building out a CLB map over the next couple of days, once I have it stable I'll post that up too. Thanks alot, I like looking at others peoples maps to compare. I have to load up my newest setting tomorrow, I'm running quite bit more advance though.
I'll post it tomorrow.. I tuned it on 94octane, but tonight I was runnning out of gas and the closest gas station was an exxon so I had to get 93, and I couldn't get the car to detonate at all so that is good.. |

Does anyone have any good explaination on the seeming vast differences between peoples closed loop mapping. I tried to deal with closed loop up to 375 and a gain down to 40, but it still only ran 13psi and spooled slower than the open map tune I have now.
I ran out of patience since my open loop mapping was running so great and consistant, figured - why bother. |

I think you have to wind out the ABC a little more with the closed loop map - and change the boost gain to a lower value.
