just the pump.

take everything off your oem setup, transfer it to the new setup, replacing only the pump.

You don't NEED anything in the kit, but it's nice to have some of the extras in case you lose/damage something (albeit unlikely). For instance, if you lose or damage the retaining clip that holds on the strainer on the stock pump, it's nice to have another sitting in the bag. Plus, the hose clamps that come with the kit are better as well.

If you're reusing the stock rubber bottom, you must trim it to fit the Walbro. If you have the install kit, a new one is supplied that fits perfectly (another advantage of the install kit).

See Step 9 on this page for a picture of what to trim:

At the "top" of the Walbro, just like stock, there is an output nipple for the fuel being pumped. It connects to another nipple via a rubber hose. I had to trim the non-Walbro nipple to get everything to fit properly.

"Ran into only one small problem during the fitment of the new pump. The pump outlet stem/nipple is about 3mm longer than the stock one. In the diagram below, the pump’s nipple is labeled ‘B’ and it meets up with a hard line that pokes out the top of the top plate (far left). I took a grinding stone to the end of ‘A’ (poked into the hose in the picture) and trimmed about 2mm off of it, then blasted the pipe and everything else with carb cleaner really well.

It works. shrug"
