I seen this from the freeway, and it lookes like they used a subaru jack on one side and just dropped it down on the other. Walker Subaru may or may not cover this, but maybe there insurance will. They store new cars in that lot also.

When I worked at the dealerships, it's right on your work order that they aren't responsible for theft and such. Only damages that they cause (a tech wrecks your car)

They always make you go to your insurance company. bottom line.

I wish you luck...sounds like you need some good luck, and not the bad stuff.

So I made my way over to the service department in Renton to see what all had happened.. My car is jacked up in a way that the whole front end is resting on the ground... wheels, seats, harnesses, harness bar- all gone- And another item I fogrot was in my car, lifetime cd collection- I had one of those mondo super cd cases that holds like 300 cds/// I'm no longer proud to say I don't rip music off the internet because my some 150 REAL cds that I payed for are all gone-

What Dan, the manager of the service department is telling me goes something like this:

1. This hasn't happened for 3 years
2. There were no tears in the fences or any other signs of a break in
3. My car was the only car to be hit in the entire lot-
4. Subaru typically leaves it up to the owners insurance company to cover the losses- And in my case, doesn't look like it'll be covered at all, A quick addition of everything that was stolen is totaled out to about 5500 dollars, and who know how much for body damage..

Police have already been through the 'crime scene' collecting some finger prints and have filed a police report...

Damn near the worst story of my life-

Are they thinking in was an inside job? Since those parts are pretty big and would be a pain to throw over a fence. Whats up with the jack part did that come from your car? Sounds kinda fishy............... Well back to ebay, and CL to watch for parts.

yea thanks bro- It feels like an inside job.. But the moment i suggested my suspicion to the service manager he got very pissed- Nevertheless 10 minutes prior i was staring at several guilty looking service workers.... Straight up avoiding eye contact with me... But I'm not going to point my fingers and look like an a$$hole// The suggestion to the service manager was as far as I'm going in relevance to an inside job-

Dude, doesn't matter what BS was said on the contract or signs on their lot. Bottom line is it is THEIR lot. They are responsible. Go and talk to a quality lawyer. All those "we are not responsible" is just BS to get people to walk away. Don't give in.

My brother bought his STi from them and they have to be the biggest group of asshats there is. It wouldnt surprise me that its a inside deal. I hope you get this resolved and FYI I would contact your insurance and let them know the situation on them looking guilty because most insurances have a whole team of lawyers just looking for deals like these. I have helped state farm on a few instances back in the day when I used to be a head painter at a few shops around here.

BTW dont get too frustrated (I know easier said than done) and soon your ride will be back to the nice ride it was. It just may take a little time, also mention to the officer in charge of the investigation that you have a feeling about who did this.

thanks for the .02- I've already talked to my insurance company so on so forth- Things aren't looking good- and although im not the most stoaked about hiring a lawyer, it might be necessary if things keep going the way they are-

Yeah, what he said.
Go back during the week and see if their service guys are dumb enough to have put your stuff on their car. Stupider things have been done.

I'm not sure who your insurance is but like I said they have their own lawyers so if you hire your own it will only make it harder for theirs to help you. Trust me if they dont have anyone to blame it comes out of their pocket and that changes everything about how they help you.

What do you expect out of Renton... There are some great people there, but more than a few freakin' ghetto people. Maybe some of them work at Subaru....
