Default anyone know anything about the 03 chevy blazer?

a trailer hitch is optional, but is the back bumper drilled for a ball like a pickup, so you can just throw a ball on it?

If it's like the other GM products, you can put a ball on the bumper, however towing capacity that way is diminished. For greater towing capacity, get regular towing hitch attached, Reese style I believe it's called. Greater towing capacity that way. Isn't this stuff in your manual? Last I checked those facts were readily available in the manual. (that's how I know, I read the manual to a Chevy Silverado when I had to tow something)

I don't own one or I'd go look at it. I'm thinking of renting one.

Still scheming are you?

Dude, hire a private outfit to move the 7. It will be worth your time.

Not for $500 it isn't.
I've got the truck reserved for 50 bucks for the day, with tax and fees, the car dolly for 40 and I'm set as long as I can put a ball on it.

HA HA! I went and cruised the used car lots on my lunch break, all I have to do is remove that plastic bit and screw a ball right on there. CAKE

like I'd tell you guys if something DID happen.
If anyone owns a blazer I'd love to know what the bumper is rated for.

lies.
I think I'll JB weld the bumper nuts in place to keep them from backing off, not load bearing, just don't want them coming loose.

I'm more worried about damage to the RX-7 when it, the trailer and the rear bumper go flying off the highway at 80 mph.

I've actually had trailers come off before, I lost a cotter pin that holds the bar in place that holds the ballmount and the whole damn thing slid out of the receiver and the tongue was sliding on the ground making sparks and a hell of a racket
after that I bought a locking pin, with a keyed lock on it

You forgot the millions of dollars of liability when your $1500 dollar car goes careening across the interstate and kills a busload of special needs children.

I've got to run by the house in a few, I'll tell you what the bumper on my s-dime is rated at. That'll give you an indication. It's pretty much the same bumper/frame.

Yeah, I'm sure it is.
at least it's a truck frame and not a damn car chassis like most SUV's
thanks for checking!

I know from experience.. Done both and the wrx REALLY didn't like it......

NEWays.. the max tounge weight is 350 lbs. No where in the manual, or on the bumper itself (where the max tounge weight is listed) is it noted, other then the maximum towing capacity.
