Wgmg is working in 90* temps and about the same in humidity. Can't do anything without being soaked in sweat. Drank close to 3 gals of water today and only pissed twice in 16 hrs. Alaska is looking real nice right now!

One of the reason's I am glad I moved from Missouri. I liked a lot of things down there, but dont miss the summer heat and humidity.

I used to say I'd much rather be cold than hot before I can up here.
4 years later, I've changed my tune. At least when it's hot outside your fingers and toes don't hurt. |

If you're cold though, there's always ways to warm up. If you're too hot, there's not always much you can do.

When it's cold: Get in the truck where the heat is on. Grab a heater cart. Go inside and warm up. (Which if there's important work, isn't going to happen) Now with my experience of having it hot as hell: Get in the truck where the A/C is on. Grab an A/C cart. Go inside and cool off. (once again, doesn't happen if there's work) If you're talking about just regular day-to-day, well...I'd rather wear shorts and a t-shirt than pants and a jacket all year long. And if you're that hot...well, jump in a pool....lake....river. I can't wait to be on a lake on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends again. Can't do that up here unless you're wanting to experience hypothermia. |

Just ordered Hella 500's and yellow shields. Decided I would order a set of 9006 harness to plug directly into my stock harness.
Well... Maybe not. Almost a 1 1/2 year wait for a harness. WTF?!? |

It took me 45 minutes to get from tikahtnu to piper street.
And then I had to wait for people(probably women) attempting to maneuver in and out of spots in a parking garage... |

WGMG: People who witness incidents, but feel it's too much a hassle to pull over and help someone.
So I'm traveling south on Old Seward when a SUV strikes a bicycle crossing in front. I pull into A&W and run over to the scene where, NOBODY responded. Bumper to bumper traffic, and not one person pulled over. The poor guy struck suffered a massive gash along his forehead and seemed for the beginning impaired due to his inability to speak. FORTUNATELY we were able to assist reduce his bleeding and an ambulance was able to arrive quickly to get him proper medical attention. I was the only person who called 911, and this was AFTER I helped get a towel to put pressure and stop his bleeding. This disgusted me. I left the scene just pissed knowing if I was injured that these are the kind of people who are around me, or if they were hurt or injured how pissed off they would be nobody responded... |

That is pretty bad. Most people are probably scared that they wouldn't be able to help because they don't know what to do, which is somewhat of a legitimate fear because a serious injury could be made worse. But not even calling for help is inexcusable.
I encourage everyone to take some sort of first aid/survival/first responder/emergency care coarse. |
