00/01 2.5RS Coupe Vs. Sedan
HEy there im right now pretty torn on this issue.
im looking pretty hard to get a 2.5RS (manual Trans.) (as almost anyone who knows about them is) and yah... im just wondering if anyone has driven BOTH and could express their opinions, how does the accel/handling compare. what do you guys think about looks? Is there any major differences in performance, or anything else for that matter. Thanks a ton!

ok, first of all realize this is the member's car gallery. If you have a question its better to post in General. This is just about pictures. Please feel free to use the search button as well

well im a sedan owner myself, and i prefer the practicality of 4 doors over 2. as far as performance goes, from what ive read, the difference is small enough "you could take a dump before weighing in and theyd weigh the same." suspension wise theyre the same, and ive heard mixed arguments on which has better chassis rigidity, but in the end im sure the difference is negligible.
overall i say go for a sedan. i personally think they look better, and having the extra two doors is nice too. |

My friend owned a sedan MT and i have a coupe auto. much to my amazement i don't mind the AT. it's kind of a treat, my last 3 cars were 5MTs and i am absolutely going to MT swap mine, but i'll be jsut as happy in the mean time. how can i complain? i got my favorite color and body of a car i've been lusting for since the 555 days 12 years ago.
i prefer coupe, but the sedans are cool too. sedans with the coupe wing are slick looking. i love the feel of two doors since i never use the rear seat anyhow. so much more special looking, there's nothing out there like it to this day. |

i love my rs coupe and its funny that you sdon't see to many around. im not too much of a AT fan, never driven one but the 5 speed shifts like a knife through butter. even on a 8 year old tranny.

Stick to the 5MT than the Auto. Auto is a "AWD" system but its like 90/10. IMO the coupe is better. I own a coupe and my buddy has the 4dr Auto. I also recommend going to RS25.com because it is more on GC8 Impreza owners than the MASS subaru owners.

I always prefer the look of any 2 door over a 4 door - I'm actually quite annoyed that they don't offer the STi in a 2 door, but it all depends on if you actually need to use the back seat or not.
