picture course layout like for the previous event would be great

What seat-time should we expect? like how many runs and how long the course would be?

Are spectators welcome? :-)

I live about 15 minutes away from this golf course, so when I found out about this I was pretty psyched.

Course layout hasn't been finalized, still waiting to see what the weather will do, depending on that that we may design the track differently.

The course will be flat, the biggest concern is mud or ice depending on conditions. We have run lowered cars at this venue before, had a Porsche 911 out there once even. My biggest concern is for the rwd and fwd folks not getting enough traction if things get sloppy.

As for seat time, probably can count on a lot, this will be a smaller event with less drivers and will just keep going until we run out of time.

Are "mild" studded tires allowed?

I would take care of that ice fairly quickly

Bump - less than a week away!

Here are the latest details - the weather looks like it should mostly cooperate, 30~ish degrees with some sun, so the chances of postponing due to severe conditions looks extremely unlikely.

However, It was 50 yesterday, 60 today, and 50 again tomorrow... with a lot of rain. Temperatures will drop back down at the end of the week but I am not counting on the ground freezing back up in time for this event. What does this mean for us? MUD. Plan on it being sloppy out there.

The course is flat, and in really good shape at the moment. As of right now I think we're expecting maybe 20~ish people to show up. And remember this won't be a traditional timed event - more of an elimination style. So expect a lot of seat time, and expect your car to get very dirty.

This would would be the perfect event for any one new to rallycross wanting to check things out and have a chance to hoon in the mud for a bit without having to worry too much about damaging the car.

We'll be getting more details up later this week - but start spreading the word - I really want to see a bunch of people out there for this!.

Personally,I wouldn't run studs.... just an aggressive, knobby snow tire.

So my biggest concern for this whole event is that the golf course doesn't really care how bad we're gonna tear that place up?

The race is on the old driving range, we actually had about 5-6 scca rallycross events there last year. The owner of the property will actually be racing his Forester.

This is soooo tempting! But what if all I have is my all-season radials? Would I just get stuck and have a bad time?

Also, could the helmet be a DOT-certified full-face motorcycle helmet?

Yes, I am a noob.

Thanks!
