Apexi N1 exhaust question.
Im thinking about buying an Apexi n1 exhaust to replace my current stock exhaust with a muffler welded on it. My question is this exhaust really loud? I dont mind it being loud but not to the point where cops is gonna pull me over for a VI or disturb everyone at night.
thanks for your opinion

It sounds ok to me hearing it on an 06 STi that is running catless dp
For VI, it really depends on the cop and how u drive but if u are scared of getting a ticket then go for SPT |

the NA version of Apexi N1 for 2.5RS isn't really loud on 2.5L 5MT but louder on 2.5L AT and 2.2L, had it on my sister's for couple years ~ yet i prefer to run it with the silencer around the city, better response but definitely no silencer on the hwy (smoother and yet can hear some nice exhaust note)...
yet for universal muffler wise (since u said a muffler welded onto stock exhaust), it might be a diff story (a friend had a small canister one ~ NA version and it turns out to be louder than another friend's with a bigger canister ~ turbo version) |

intake doesn't really make much noise until you go WOT, and by just welding a muffler it's not going to improve any performance at all (except look ~ if welded / angled properly and sound ~ if not too noisy). i dunno if the smaller version has silencer but i think the bigger one does (just not sure if they come with the muffler or if u have to purchase seperately).... |
