"riced out" like the "riced out" hoodscoop on the WRX? oh, wait, that scoop is functional, right? OK then.

I think the biggest news surrounding the CR is the fact that we get new size choices for RE070s...

Not to beat a dead horse from the previous threads...
But I still can't get over how they didn't put a bar in this car. Yeah! A track car that you can't run at any track! |

This should have been the car that Honda had tuned by Mugen and sold over here in the States to explore the cache of the Mugen brand. This car is much more convincing than the Mugen SI.

Look even at the guy in the pic. He's above the hoop and doesn't even have a helmet on. Not even close to meeting even the most minimal safety standards found at most DE's. Even ran with the top down? You must to run with the top down with most organizations. Even in a monsoon! That's a pretty normal rule. The soft-top and its structure are considered very dangerous elements in the event of a rollover. Think impalement! What group let you track your S2k with your top up, or without a bar for that matter? The last holdouts appeared to be most miata clubs....even they are becoming hard to find anymore. I've been co-driving an 02 for the past few years everywhere from VIR to eastern Canada . MAYBE 1/10 events you can find were you can run with no bar. Certainly very few groups left, and the overhelming trend is bars in all open-top cars for ALL the major players as far as drivng events go. There are a couple companies making bars for the car...all requiring either hacking or removal of numerous interior panels. Not exactly a nice solution for a brand new "club racer". Damn lawyers Last edited by REX8; 08-12-2007 at 07:52 PM. |
