Default odd idle noise

Okay so let me start this off by saying last night there was a pretty intense storm in my area. I was on my way home late last night(1am-ish) and it absolutely down pouring and windy as crap. I normally take this one road home from where I was coming from but I know it floods pretty badly over there when it rains so I avoided it. I took another road(a way more dim/poor lighting at that) so I'm cruising at about 25 and then all of a sudden I ended up in this huge puddle I did not see at all, so out of instinct I put it in reverse and got out of the puddle and drove home. I check this morning and there was a small amount of water in the air filter house and my air filter was decently wet. I checked the oil and it doesn't seem to be all milky or separated from the water or anything like that. But when I start it, it it idles normally but makes a some what high pitched noise. I made a short video hoping some of you could give me some insight as to what the problem may be. Thanks in advance.

If u got water in the cylinders then pull spark plugs clean them, while they are out take the fuel pump fuse out and crank the engine to get the water out. That's where I would start as well as drying the air filter.

I had water in my intake before about 2 cups to be conservative over the course of 2 min. I had to drive through some serious water. My car ran ****ty for about an hour after. I freaked out but it wasn't that bad. Remember they have water injection in subarus and they run better and at higher hp. My Maf got soaked and made the car run ****ty and then the panel filter was throwing water into the intake. I then was advised to let the engine idle for 15-20 min to make sure no rust developed where it wasnt suposed to and cause any extra cooling warping.

I bet if u reset the ecu and check the spark plugs it might sound better. But the high pitch screaming noise is usually a exhaust leak before the turbo. Remember ur headers and upping are the lowest thing and they are hot. I bet if look under where the headers are you can pin point jthe leak.. If not a high pitch screaming usually could be a trimming belt bearing.
