Unless its totally a dedicated offroad vehicle, I can't see why anyone would go over 35s when its a daily driver.

If you are on a budget, I'd recommend keeping the stock wheels and just upgrade the tires. Do so keeping in mind that spacers may be needed to mitigate rubbing concerns contingent on how large of a tire you go with.

The guys in this thread know their tires, they won't steer you in the wrong direction. Wheels are a matter of preference, in all honesty.

Sub 2k, or lower. Also looking at lift kits (I think TRD makes a pretty cheap one)

I've heard some bad things about spacers being used off-road.

How much offroading do you do? Are you planning to go with 5 wheels and tires for tires.

Now that the weather is getting warmer, I'd like to go a few times a month. Then again I live in the city and don't go crawling on anything more than a curb too often.

I guess all 5, but not sure how that works out with this backup camera thing that was stock. If I remove the tire cover, the camera will be exposed and not sure the cover will fit anything bigger.

I put the soft top on today (Trektop NX). Let's hope the nice weather is here to stay in the North East. Will probably put the soft doors on soon too.

Unrelated, picture taken yesterday near Como, CO. Wanted to take Boreas Pass to Breckenridge but it was closed four miles in. The four miles that were open were covered in snowmelt.

Really like this picture, but what are the twisty thingys in the background behind the jeep on the hill?

I'm diametrically opposed to using spacers, but I know a lot of people using Spidertrax spacers and none of them have had issues.

Joe- your jeep looks nasty with those tires, love it.

I'll be running spacers soon as a result of the width of the axle I am installing.

Thanks.

Spacers are used by a lot of people, I haven't heard of any issues from those who have properly installed and maintained them. Personally, I didn't want something additional between the wheel and hub/rotor. I do like the wider look... that's why I went with a 4.25" backspaced wheel.

Spacers are fine as long as they are not the "loose" ones. You should only use ones that bolt to the hub and have seperate studs for the wheels.

But yeah.. best way? Get wheels made with the right backspace.

I had mine made up with 2.5" lol

Yeah, well since my axles will be different widths you can count out getting wheels with different backspacing.

I'm running 1.5 Spidertrax and have done quite a bit of off-roading with no negative issues thus far. I check my wheel torque frequently and when I rotate my tires every oil change, I double check the spacer torque.

Some updated pics of my WK. Sorry, weather has been crappy today. I'm going to get rid of the 33's and go back down to 265/70's or 255/75's. I don't want to trim the hell out of my fenders and I was happy with the look of the 32's.

Here's how it sits currently:

LOL.

I do have an 10in drop for my trailer/quad but it still isn't level. These things have such an odd rear end. I had to get a 5 1/4 drop when I bought it, to even come close to level..

Yeah, I have a mega drop that isn't low enough, next step is having someone weld on a higher hitch to the trailer. 2" ball would make my life easier anyways.

Here's a few vids of it. Nothing special. I did a decent blue up at Rausch Creek with it but was worried about driving more so than video.

Dirty Parts recommended that I give the Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks a try so that's what I went with. Gave me a nice deal on them, too.

I prefer to buy American when I can.

Will your rig get outfitted with as many electronic gizmos like Larry? I was hanging out with Larry and crew this past Sat.

Rancho's installed! They look and feel great and the 10 way adjustability function is pretty neat.

When they pulled out the Pro Comp's the bushings literally fell out. They were utterly ravaged.

I finally feel like my Jeep is drivable.

Now what?
