Question Rear fog light on the WRX wagon...

Hi Guys!
I saw, underneath the Modification link, that someone did a write up on a rear fog light on the GC8. Has anyone done this mod on a WRX sedan or wagon? He ended up eliminating one of his reverse lights and rigged up a rear fog light in it's place. Long story short, the driver side reverse light was replaced with a red bulb which comes on only when the front fogs are on(with a switch). I know he used a relay and an actual rear fog light switch. If anyone has a pic or even a better idea, it would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Mike

well i got an idea for ya that is actually a cleaner mod. Buy a hella rear fog light the square one and if you look under the rear bumper to the left of the muffler tips there is a spot the bumper cover is bolted to and you could bolt this fog light right there and it would be in the optimal position. I have one of these lights at home and had it on my old car and it looked great and worked great. I put it on the car but never installed it. It cost about 40 bucks for the light and u gotta buy the bulb. PM me if you need more info.

that would be ugly. I've been wanting this Mod also but don't want something hanging under my bumper like that. I'd myself like to see somthing that kept the back of the car looking stock.

Someone please do and document a "Peaty" type rear fog light for the WRX.

So I can do and copy it!

Well just for the record he wanted an idea and i gave em one. Hella is much better than a cheapo pep boy part u guys should know that. Go to a Volkswagen show and your bound to see the hella rear light. I personally didn't install it or plan to but u guys are knocking something u haven't seen. I Guess its an assumption its ok everyone is entitled to their opinions. A hacker with this mod? Nah doubtful a hacker is someone that does a permanent mod this one doesn't even require drilling.

I'll be doing this mod on my wagon soon. I have the bosch relay, red reverse bulb, and wire. I'm just looking for the EDM rear fog light switch w/ the pinouts. Anyone know where I can get one? Thanks!
