Tuned by Ed @ EQ Tuning

The car just pulls hard especially at midrange. Driveability is superb! The car was tuned using Opensource (I believe) and using Ed's road dyno software. Just wanna say thanks Ed for a job well done!

Nice curves and impressive torque! Ed's software reads low so it makes your numbers even more impressive for 91oct.

Man thats one bad ass VF39 Tune on Pump gas.
299WHP Nice!!

Usually I only see mid 270s or 280s on his software on a vf39 on pump.

Guessing colder temps helped hehe

Enjoy the POWER

Sweet numbers and nice curves.... 355wtq is sweet esp on a VF-39! Enjoy!

355 ft-lbs on the road dyno software

Most torque Ive seen on his software on 91 from a vf39 is ~ 330....thats with similiar mods minus the headers and injectors. Do the headers and bigger injectors make that much of a difference?? Is the car a factory freak?

Awesome numbers regardless.

The headers do make a big difference, especially in the mid range. FYI, it was also around 35F during the tune, so that helped the numbers a bit .

Remember I don't use any correction factors, so the numbers represent the car's actual on road performance at the time of the tune. For the record, this is the most power I've seen out of a VF39 on 91 Octane period. I chalk it up to a good setup and the nice cold air.

Thanks

Most definitely bare minimum.

On 816cc's my IDC's were well over 90% at sea level.

In retrospect, I would have much rather had something larger. More boost/timing/tuning and more headroom is always better.

You'll have to ask Ed as I didn't ask him (perhaps he may chime in). All I know based on the logs that I saw on his laptop was that peak boost was 19PSI and A/F was around 10.8:1. Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys!

he still can push E85 with those injectors. just cant run gobs of boost. run the same amount of boost and he will still see better numbers

Um, no. Same boost will leave him out of injector. Sure, he can run E85 if he wants to run 12psi.

congrats to the owner for the new found power,

and once again another badass work from ED @ EQ-Tuning

major props man

this is the highest number vf39 on pure 91 octane on your road dyno ed

if phung could trap 109 - 110mph on stright 91 with only 277whp

i wonder what this car could do haha

Definitely can't run the same boost levels with the same injectors...

The a/f on this tune was set around 10.7:1 and we were seeing IDC's around 80%.

Thanks

If the AFR was at 10.7@WOT this was a very conservative tune.

A/F isn't the only thing that makes a tune conservative or aggressive, but you're right, this tune was not what I'd consider aggressive. This car made amazing power very easily so there was no reason to push it too hard.

Yep, most of my 91 tunes are around 10.5-10.8 depending on the car and application.
