Default Does the WRX use the same oil filter as the 2000 2.5 RS?

OK, this is a really dumb question but... I went to NAPA yesterday to pick up an oil filter to change my oil and they didn't have the 2002 subarus in thier books. I called the dealership to ask what filter to get and they said that the oil filter off the 2000 2.5 RS is the same one that I use for the WRX. So I picked up that filter and when I was putting it in, it's freakin' tiny, it's smaller than the stock subaru one. It fits and the seals match up but it made me kinda nervous. I remember the integra ones from NAPA were smaller too but I just wanted to make sure. The number I used was a #1365.

Anyone else notice this?

I ran into the SAME problem today with Advance, Napa and Autozone. So you're saying that I can ask for a filter for the 2001 Impreza RS and it will work?

I was searching some more on it and found the part # for a Purolator, L14460 and called Advance Auto, they had it. What filter are you guys talking about? The Purolator or something else? I'm about scared to use a Fram anymore after hearing a writing on how most of the Fram's suck.
