Default It's Finally Here! The ION Performance 4-1 Aqua Replica

I believe the pictures speak for themselves. Extremely high quality welds, thick tubing (about 16 gauge, I believe), ported collector, ported uppipe-turbine flange (inside lip is transitioned). Once my gaskets and studs arrive, I'll post some reactions. This is certainly as well made, if not better, than the HKS 4-1 I've touched. I must say that the collector and pipe bends are just smoother on this.

enjoy,
rob

I got mine as part of a group buy, but it was around $1K. You can get them from [email protected] (he is a vendor on here as well).

Thanks Rob. Let me know how the fit and finish is. I'm very interested if you have great luck installing it. This would be much easier than just an uppipe. I can just drop everything and install this beauty.

Question: Does it have a spot for an EGT? (Looks like one at the collector).

Just curious...how much HP do aftermarket manifolds generate? A lot of them cost more than a turbo upgrade itself. Just wondering if it's worth it. Thanks.

That header looks really nice BTW.

its just a support bar for shipping. it gets taken off before the headers are installed.

Ion - when you did the groupbuy, you wanted people for the 4-2-1 style (hmm, yes! In fact, there were more people that wanted 4-2-1 than the other) but now it's the 4-1 that is shipping! snif! If I'd knew I would have join!

Well anyway, it's a really nice piece of hardware! Hope that I'll be calling you soon!

mitch808 - For news on the headers you can follow the link below.

http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthr...hreadid=187236

KillerRex - the question you asked is based on too many variables such as amount of boost, other mods etc. It's really specific to car in terms of power gains.

petawabit - just to prevent the flanges from being forced out of position when shipping.

jmott - Great to hear you finally got ahold of UPS! I think the first to install will be Conduit, spoke with him on the phone on Monday, turns out there were still some things he was waiting on to do the install, hence postponed for 1 week.

Otherwise, you maybe the first if you're going to use your existing catless up-pipe

nqwan - thanks for answering the Q

Pollux - In the original GB for the 4-2-1 headers, there were enough people to get it off the ground, however when it came time for people to pay, only 2 of the 10 did, hence it did not go through. The 4-2-1 headers are being dyno'd @ TXS as well. If you'd like to set up a GB for the guys in Quebec, we could work something out for fellow Canadians

I'm from Quebec and have a credit card burning a hole in my pocket!!! I would be very interested and very soon as well. Am thinking of the godspeed uppipe and downpipe. This sounds like a nice (though more expensive) option. No offense but you skated around the HP increase issue. Most guys are running stock turbos with a boost controller at 16 or so. What gains can we expect as opposed top just the Up pipe? How is the sound?

Thanks

C'mon, jmott. You've had yours sitting on your floor for a week. Although it's very pretty, it does no good sitting on the floor. INSTALL IT (and take plenty of pix).

bingo - Drop us an email iON Performance

As for gains, on the regular turbo, the HKS made ~ 15hp peak & 10lb-ft torque peak @ the wheels on the stock TDO4 USDM/CADM WRX turbo. These are alot smoother than the HKS and will make more power as you upgrade your turbo or run higher boost levels.
