Agreed. I especially don't want it in a car with a questionable reliability record.

Got an email with another recall:

SUBARU OF AMERICA, INC. has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in some 2010 through 2013 model year Subaru vehicles equipped with optional Genuine Subaru Remote Engine Starters. If your vehicle is not equipped with an optional remote engine starter, this notice does not apply to you.

btw, I have no remote engine starter

I was worried we'd see an increase in this. Subaru's quality control has taken a bit of a hit as they try to meet increasing demands for their vehicles. The new '14 Forester has had CVT Fluid Levels adjusted in the first run of models and now ALL '14 Forester cloth floor mats have been recalled.

Be careful, Subaru!!

I got this recall notice as well and don't have a remote start. I think I read about this a few weeks ago. From what I read there was a possibility of unintentionally starting your vehicle with the remote start.

I replaced the Yokohama S30B's with 300 miles on them on my 13 Premium. I swapped them for Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S tires. I always swap the OE tires with in 500 miles of getting a new car, been doing that for years. The Pilots are much more stable then the OE Yokohama tires. I also added the 19mm rear stabilizer bar shortly after swapping tires. The combination of these two additions has really settled down the car. I will also be adding a strut tower brace as soon as I decide which one to get. For the record, I'm not a big fan of the EPS but I am starting to get used to it. This will be my daughters car when she turns 16 in a few months.

I like to think a diesel would be great but I've never owned one. My bro in law has a tdi golf and it's pretty nice. Expensive and no leather but nice.

I had a 2010 TDI that was sweet to drive but horribly unreliable. So unreliable that I sold it and bought the Impreza. I'd love a Subaru diesel boxer engine if Subaru could make it more reliable than VW did.

XV is already getting Hybrid Treatment here in the US. I doubt it'll ALSO carry over the diesel.

hi, does anyone know if rally armour mudguards can be installed if you have the aero splashguards? rally armor website says the aero guards can be removed to install the mudflaps, but i'm not sure if that means you have to keep them off...

thanks in advance!

From what I've seen and read, Rally Armors won't work with AeroGuards on 'em. I have only seen the RA's on Aero-less Imprezas, too.

Rally armour mud flaps will work if you have the aero splash guards.
The only thing you will have to do is remove the inner mud guard which comes with the rear aero splash guards, then you can install the RA. This is the setup on my car

I installed the aero splash gaurds on mine than ra flaps.. To me the directions were hard to understand in a way so I just went ahead and figured out myself to fit with aero gaurds

You can still mount a hitch-mount bike rack on 'em though.
