Depends on what you're "looking for."

Tee hee...

But seriously, people have gone nuts. My suppliers still have BCGs, uppers, and barrels, but that's only because most folks don't realize that a full on ban will include those items too. I'm stocking up so I don't get caught in the idiot wave.

full auto bcg's are still plentiful because people think it will make the ar full auto but the trigger pack is what makes an ar-15 full auto. that and a couple extra holes in the receiver.

Yeah, I had some in my cart yesterday morning from them, but decided I couldn't spare the $$. By that afternoon they were gone..

It seems like M&A Parts has some in stock, I just ordered a couple.

I spoke to Magpul today, mostly to report price gouging, which they know about and are not happy with, and also to ask about production.

They've ramped it up and are aware about everybody being out of stock. They know about the shortages and assured me that they'll be shipping out massive amounts in January.

Basically they said to wait out the idiots and ignore any panic. Same with ammo. Don't freak out and it'll be back in stock in time. Just like it was when this happened four years ago and eight years ago, etc.

Just put in an order for a basic Colt AR (my first .223 AR). They claim it is in stock so hopefully it and the 5 pmags will be shipping soon. I probably won't even have a chance to take it to the range before leaving on my Afghanistan contract!

Colt AR 6720
LaRue goodies:
10" handguard Magpul CTR stock
Harris BRM with quick detach Front grip
and some rail clips.
All in over 2k on this new AR, goodies, and plenty of pmags.

^Care to share your source? BCM, Magpul, and a couple of other companies have been good about maintaining their prices, but places like CtD and Dick's are pushing them through the roof.

Exactally. In 1994, the ban made it impossible to build a new AW, but they didn't make the ammo illegal.

Stock up on magazines (people don't need 300, just enough for personal use) when you find them instock and at a normal price, and wait for the newbie-preppers to calm the hell down.

The reason they haven't raised their prices is because they already charged more than everybody else did normally.

I plan on sighting in some guns this weekend. Need to sight in the Nikon on the AR and get the MBUS dialed in on both the AR and AR-P. Also, my buddy wants me to sight in his newly acquired .308 too...looks like it could be a little productive today

Gave up looking for a nice long range upper and decided on one from LaRue:
Picked the 20" LT011 option, hope it fits well with the Colt lower.

And thus concludes my gun purchases for the year
