Gah, Stupid people!!!!! It is true i am not allowed to have anything nice
So a few weeks ago I came out to my car, and noticed the front Fog lite surround was missing. Aw "bleep", so i Look Around, looks like they aren't to bad, www.subarugenuineparts.com has them for $31 bucks...thats not bad. Figure I will see how much locally if it is similar factoring in exchange and what not, I will buy it local, if not I will order one and have them ship it to a place in Point Roberts Or pick it up when I am down there next.
So today after work I am leaving and I stop and talk with a co work at his car, Now I rarely go to the Right Side of my car, only when I am filling it up, and then even if I am not in Richmond (full serve gas) and it just so happens where ever I park I always seem to park so when I am coming back I am usually head straight to the Driver side (think about it sometime and you will find your brain works all this out without letting you know, it will automatically park so as to make the walk as short and as direct as possible...****ing insidious little thing ain't it ) so I had to walk past my car to his, he looks over at my car and goes "man your a lousy driver, you whailed a barricade already". I am like WTF are you smoking, and give it to me. I turn and there it is, my bumper all rubbed to **** on the passenger Rear side of the bumper. Thankfully no structure, metal, or part damage (from what I can tell) but the paint is all rubbed thru to the actual material of the bumper, and pretty deep. No gouging or such, so it was rubber bumper on rubber bumper contact but man was I PISSED! So I don't even think getting ICBC involved is worth it. My deductable is 300, and it is probably a $200 fix at most (mainly because i have a friend who can do it), and honestly I just hate dealing with them. Sides I think it is reason enough to buy this Body kit Opinions? to much? Does it scream I am a poser, hate me. I want something to make it more Aggressive looking, but not to give it that disporportion that you get when you get a sedan front end on a wagon (you now, flared in front, not in rear) and i wanted to retain Fog lights. The Picture originally had a stupid tail wing off the roof so I cut that out. So like that, but with Very Similar gold rims Instead of Silver. The other Kit I was looking at seem to give it a Porcshe/Audi look, which isn't bad, but I find Porcshes and Audis to be a tad Tame and Roundy looking, But as my brother pointed out, dude Thats like complaining that your Girlfriends Surgery made her look more Like "insert your Sexy Dreamgirls name here", and I had to agree. Right now the cars only mods are a Carbon fibre hood, and a CAI setup. I have an exhaust waiting to be put on. By the time the body kit would get here the car would have the Rims, be lowered, have a Stage 1 Cobb short shift kit, new downpipe and ECU remap ( the body kit wouldn't even get here till probably like October, and as much as i hate my job they pay me a silly amount of money, but it does allows me to be stupid) |

so are you hitting poles to try to convince yourself that you need a body kit and sleep walking and taking parts off your car.

Yes, i purpose crashed my car into something.......no, If my car was a piece of junk, well then probably...but I like this car, a lot, I am also furious with myself for not washing it for a month, but as I have been sick since the 27th of December (first a head cold then the flu...you should never cough up something that is chunky and chewy) It is not like I would be any condition to. I have either been in bed, on my couch, in front of my computer each day, or foolishly trying to go into work and lasting 2 or 3 days and then getting sick again. This is also the reason the Exhaust continues to go uninstalled, i Got it on December 27th.

body kit is sick and if you like that is all that matters
as for fixing broken parts with aftermarket...damn right i believe in it. My right rear tail light has a crack in it (like that when i bought it) so of course I had to get euro lights shipped from England as a replacement...it only makes sense! ;P |

I love the part where you mentioned coughing up something chunky and chewy. That got a bit of reaction out of me. Other than that, your post is a bitch to read.

on the topic of this thread. Driving would be a lot more fun if it were not for all the friggin ideots/drunk people out there. Driving home today, there was a taurus wagon two lanes over from me. Deciding he needed to be exactly where I was, he swerved into the lane next to me encrouching on my lane, and then again began to enter the space I was presently in. I began to brake heavily to let him in withough having him crash into me and at the last second he realizes I am there and pulls back into his own lane (verry wobbily). He then proceeds to rip off infront of me wobble into my lane and wobble off around a corner at full understeer speed and then rip off to the timmy ho's. Seriously, I have had my car a day over a week and people are already trying to crash into it

Of course there are going to be drivers that aren't so great, and its something that we just have to put up with. They are always going to be around. Defensive driving is the key! My commute to work when i drive i wouldn't say is "fun." When u wana go for a cruise with a few friends, now thats "fun."

true that. although there are not so great drivers out there, then there are straight up dangerous drivers out there. I don't mind people that aren't the best drivers (i am still a noob), but at least follow the basic rules of the road.
1. you can not occupy the same place as another car at the same time 2. do not stop on the highway when there is nothing in front of you because you want to get into the clogged lane beside you because you didn't realize that this was your exit. 3. look both ways before pulling out I'm sure I forgot some but its 2 am :/ |
