Cross-referencing Subaru belts with Gatorback is a bit of a PITA, or art... depending on how you look at it. mm to inches, total rib count vs rib grooves, etc.

This part # fits 100% with zero slack. Perfect fit for the FA20DIT. I hand chose it for Belli after getting a similar belt for mine a year or two ago. A royal PITA for the EZ36D as even the stock part no and specs are hard to find (didnt feel like pulling the stock one off to get the specs).

There was no need to replace the accessory belt, likely doesnt need replacing until 60 or 90K service depending on its age and condition... but since we were in there, the part is 20 odd bucks and beefier than stock, why not?

The gatorback design also plays nicer with pulleys, especially the idler/tensioner set, prolonging the inner bearing life and allowing for more wobble and misalignment with time vs the stock belt. Win win.

What do you guys think about eyelids on the 2015's front lights?

I found a pic of one with CF eyelids, assuming there's probably gloss and flat colours available as well.

I ordered a set of b@t's side marker overlays which go around the light. They look really sharp. I'd go with those over the eyelids.

I have side marker overlays on my car currently, but they don't go around the whole light - just over the side markers to help tone down the orange.

Is that same thing you're taking about?

eyelid covers make no sense on the 2015's as it covers the C lights...and it's kinda on the tacky side.

You'd have to ask your 'friendly and professional' local Subaru dealership, lol. And they would have to prove any hypothetical damage or warranty claim is related to installing or running these minor mechanical mods.

In theory, they can deny for anything. Next dealership then.
In practice, the brace - likely 0% chance. Pulleys, most service mechanics wont notice or care.

I don't mind covering my c-lights a bit since they're barely visible to begin with.

But with that said.. I think you're right it is tacky now that I look at it some more. Was hoping someone had done it / had pics so I could get a better idea of how it would actually look.

The style of light and color temperature isn't proportionate to the intensity of light emitted. It's been well documented that the limited c-lights are at best a very tiny amount brighter than the base/premium, including guys who have done direct oem headlight swaps. For those that want the c-lights to act as real drl's, the headlights have to be modded regardless of your trim level, and having the limited lights is a disadvantage.

I went with Blue B@tmobile's full opaque vinyl for the reflectors. Didn't want any bit of orange showing, like the overseas market cars.

How are you liking the LED fog light DRL's??

Been really on the fence about upgrading to them. My gf has reminded me quite a few times now that $~450 isn't a small chunk of change to drop on lights haha.

Thank god she didn't see what the last parts purchase ran me ***8790;***8255;***8790;

Put the vinyl inlays on the side badges, think they should have came from the factory this way... Looks so much better!

I randomly scour ebay looking for any type of new body molding and ran across these extended (or flared?) front fenders. They are a two piece design. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-2015-Su...7f1542&vxp=mtr

^ Love the fenders, only because I am an NBR freak.

I wish their NBR hood looked more like the genuine NBR hood. I'd get the hood(if it looked like the real deal). The rest, sadly, on a street car may look like some cheap ricer kit.

I love 'em personally. They really add a level of character to the exterior, and they're eye catching even from a distance. Just know that USDM cars don't have the harness on the car for them to be plug and play in stock form if you get them directly from Japan. I had to do custom wiring at first, but now SubiSpeed's Limited/STI C-Led DRL harness is an easier and more direct way to install them.

I jumped on the bandwagon wayyyyy early though -- the minute they were released on JapanParts. Since then, ZWorks has been working on a cheaper version that uses the stock fog light surrounds. If OEM is too much, then there's always that route to explore.

A few items arrived from japanparts - look great - cant wait to put them on. Most likely will wrap the silver and the interior carbon fiber with dark brushed aluminum or something close to that.

Can you do us MT owners a solid and take a picture of the bottom of silver bezel on the shifter surround? I am curious if the piece snaps out and will allow our MT to snap right in.

^^^ that dash piece that provides shade for the triple gauge LCD. I wish someone would mold a piece that had 2 or 3 gauge pods on it. THAT WOULD BE FREAKING AWESOME. Great line of sight, and you wouldn't need to look down to see your gauges.

I wish they had gone a little further and made them widebody fenders. The section behind the headlight on the NBR STI is beautiful.
