You will definitely want to swap torsion bars. If you don't the trunk without the wing will fly up so fast you will think your rear windshield is going to get blown out. It's really easy to swap the bars anyways, no tools required.

Yeah they are fairly easy to remove by hand, I'm sure you will see how they come out when you look at them. If I remember right, they are stacked on each other so one has to come out before the other. Easy swap though.

Any shots from the rear, I want to see how stretched it looks. I love the look, but want a wider tire.

This should answer your question. You could fit 3" wider tires on that wheel...

Yes I know you can run a wider tire. But I still wanted to see what it looks like. I've ran 295 on a 18x10.5. (Not on a Subaru) I'm not a noob when it comes to tire fitment. That was stock size as well.

I don't see your point. 295's on a 10.5" wheel is the correct size. 235's on a 10" wheel is very, very stretched.

I put 245/40R18's on my 18x9.5" because I got a set of HTR Z III's for less than $500 brand new. A 245 is the smallest recommended size for a 9.5" wheel and I still think they are stretched too much. Next go around will be 265's or 275's for sure.

So a 235 on a 10" wheel is super stretched plus as Ben has said you are losing contact patch area so you are gaining 0 performance for running a 10 inch wheel.

I'm not saying anything against it. I'm just pointing out the obvious. It's not for me, but I'm not going to tell anyone else they can't do it.

Yeah man we aren't saying its wrong. Its your car you do what you want with it. You make it your own. You paid for it.

I think the technical commentary was fueled by a request on "how stretched" the tire looks and we were pointing out that a 235/40 on a 10" Wheel is very stretched and that you lose some contact patch to make the look.

If that's the look you want though, more power to you. Aesthetically it looks great. Are those painted or Powder Coated ?
