Default Santa Cruz Meets!

Would anybody be down to have a meet and cruise in santa cruz?? I live in the san mateo area and many of these meets are just too far for me, and I know there are some of you guys out there who feel the same. Maybe we could do like a barbecue and then a cruise down hwy 9. Let me know opinions and ideas

Also I was thinking of doing it sometime during last week of march

I would be down, but I usually work and can't even make it to the Monterey meets. Set something up and I will see what I can do.

We've tried to get SC county meets going a few times and they always pitter out.

We had one in Aptos but the most it would see is 6 cars. Tried one in Gilroy. Only lasted for a couple meets and was like 4 cars. Etc etc etc.

I'd be down for one in Gilroy, Watsonville or Santa Cruz.

national bridges parking lot isnt that big, we've debated the possible places to have meets, and there arent many places because most parking lots arent very big anywhere hah kinda weak

there are a few parking lots off highway 1 going north from santa cruz...then you can drive south back into santa cruz to get grub somewhere

Hey guys! a few updates

I have been posting on iclub forums with moderate success. The timing seems to be less than ideal, however i saw a forecast for santa cruz that said it would be clear up by saturday...so at least we can hope for that.

Most people are saying that meeting in a parking lot at sc is really gonna suck, and after the one time i visited there I think i can understand that. So, I have a few running ideas.

For hose of you who are in the bay area (i mean between sf to sj) would you be willing to meet at the vista point on hwy 35? it is close to alpine and 35. From there we would cruise down hwy 35 to 9 and all the way to santa cruz.

OR

instead of going all the way down to santa cruz, we would meet at a place called Henry Cowell Redwoods state park, which (according to google maps) appears to have a decent sized parking lot. it is very close to sc and after meeting guys there we could either go to santa cruz and get some lunch, or people could bring their own lunches and we could have a picnic (please refrain from the homo comments, i know what it sounds like).

Thoughts, opinions, ideas??

Lets also keep in mind this is IF there is good weather...i sure dont want it to rain on my parade (pun intended). I would have no problem cruising in the rain (we do have awd cars afterall) but it seems that alot of people would rather not (which i can also understand) and it isnt worth my while to go all the way to sc to meet up with like 3-4 guys

Let the posts begin!!

I am in santa cruz lets do it up. The only two bozos i see are in the morning going to work, a n/a 2007 impreza that needs some mechanical work since the girl thinks shes tony stewart( sounds like the car has a sars cough when the throttle is pressed)
And a LGT who thinks hes badass cause he tries to smoke any car thats relitively close to him lol. Both are a light blue color. If this is you....this is the guy in the black wrx that shakes his head and keeps driving.
Way to go on the carpool ticket on the way back home too LGT. Im sure 490 bucks doesnt feel too good when its you who has to cough it up.
