should've gone something like this: STD: Sexually Transmitted Disease, something that nobody wants and cannot be cured. STi: Subaru Technica International, the high performance version of the Subaru Impreza, the latest version of which has a 305bhp 2.5L turbocharged engine and all wheel drive. i <3 STi (and yes, the dancing bannana should be included)

Some random older guy that was fishing next to me said this. A WRX pulled up past our fishing spot and saw that we were already there and then turned around and drove away.

Guy: *blow off valve vents air* Damn sounds like something just broke

*a few seconds later...*

And it sounds like it's running on 3 cylinders.

Me: That's actually what my car sounds like too. It's because of the Boxer motor and UEL headers.

Him: Oh okay it kinda looked like yours too. Same color.

Not really hilarious, but people always ask to drive my car and I tell them if they can start it they can drive it. So I get asked why it won't start. (5spd)

Ya this has happened to me on a few occasions. I was at work and a shipper of ours used to drive big rigs and needed to move my car so I threw him my keys. He came back 5 minutes later looking flustered and said there was something wrong with my car. Of course I immediately thought something was ACTUALLY wrong so I came out and he sits in the car and cranks the key...no dice...I looked at him and asked how long he had driven trucks for and he replied "before you were born" and I laughed and pointed to the clutch. His face went beat red!

its not funny, actually rather pathetic and I heard this at the San Jose Auto Show with a bunch of idiot boppers sitting in the 2009 STI...

Idiot 1: "I'm gonna get one of these!"
idiot 2: "But you can't drive stick"
Idiot 1: "I'll just get one in automatic then"

*face palm*

Was drying off the car after I washed it, an older guy walks up:

Guy: This thing would look better on my car(pointing to rear wing)
Me: What do you have?
Guy: That Old Honda over there.

I posted this in my regional forum back in April because the original thread here was closed, but heres a funny one I got...

I walked into the shop to drive my car out when they were finished changing the tires and there are three guys just standing around looking at it.

Big guy- "Twin turbos eh?"
me- "ah naw just a single turbo for me"
Big guy- "oh yeah thats cool, I just bought a micro fiber muffler for my car
me- (thinking "MICRO fiber?") "Micro fiber eh? sounds expensive. what kind of car do you drive?"
Big guy- "oh i got a ford focus. its an svt but the muffler didn't fit so I had to sell it"
Me- "oh thats too bad. you should pick up a carbon fiber one it might fit better"
Big guy- "oh nice I'll look into those!"
me- "cool man good luck "

I'm fairly tall 6'1 last time I checked I have have owned nothing but tiny vehicles (other than my gmc safari but it's a MINIvan)
ford escort gt 2 door hatch
gmc sonoma xtra cab so pretty small truck in comparison to other trucks
toyota rav 4 I feel like I'm driving a jacked up smart car
subaru 2.5 rs I can barely get a body in the trunk and it's a chore the do it in the back seat

but almost every short person I know owns a large jacked up truck or dreams about large jacked up trucks. Do they not know owning a giant truck only makes thier dicks look smaller by comparison?

The other day I even had a guy at the gas station look up at me and say cute little toy about my car while reaching up to pump diesel into his dick be gone. He also walked like a rent a cop(you know with his arms jutted out like he has huge muscles and cant straighten his arms or walk likea normal person) and wore a tapout shirt.

you know, you really shouldn't go around talking about putting bodies in your trunk...people might begin to think that you're a murderer or something (don't kill me, i won't tell anyone, i promise) hahaha

I absolutely hate the people who walk like they have two midgets in a headlock. The fact that 90% of those people wear Tapout MUST mean they are pro UFC fighters!

Even the big truck thing. I guarantee that more than 3/4's of them havent even seen grass let alone mud or rocks (the only reason you should lift your truck)

I agree the diesel loving tapout wearing country boys are a bit much. Living in the south/appalachians this is a problem every single day. Except here there are V8 truck drivers that have the same mentality. But I will say that 3 of my friends, whom all drive diesel trucks, respect my car as much as their trucks. They love riding in it and have nothing but good things to say about it. One used to have a wrx himself. The best part to me is that these subie respecting diesel drivers have the fastest trucks around.

First day I bought my car I got this one. Also my car had a horrendous rod knock that could be heard from a mile away.

I pull up to a stop light and this car with a bunch of kids(teens) look over and say:

Them: "Is that thing turboed?"
Me: "Yeah..."
Them: "Roast em up dude!!" (While doing the burnout signal)
Me: -_-

I then drive off slowly..

^Dat 1 wheel peel.

Anyways today I was cruising around in my grandmas Buick Rendezvous (the suspension feels like it's made out of lime Jello) and I see a Forester behind me. Hes all mad because I'm doing the speed limit. He felt the need to pass me on the shoulder (grass/dirt, it was also raining). Gotta love that AWD?
