I actually didn't know this had happened until this thread was bumped the other day. I've been out of the scene since selling the 2011 WRX. So sad to hear about this, but it's always how it goes with the iconic ones.

Default 2012 WRX 6 Speed Swap

I am pretty sure somebody has asked this in the 800 or so pages on this thread but here it goes. I found a complete 2013 6 speed assembly. It includes trans, front and rear axle shafts, rear diff, complete clutch assembly, front and rear spindle and hubs, complete driveshaft. I am going to be swapping this into my 2012 WRX. My question is, since the WRX never came with DCCD, how would me putting 2013 sti drivetrain assembly into 2012 WRX work as far as DCCD is concerned? Will I have to wire in DCCD or can I run it without DCCD? If I have to get DCCD is it a separate system or is it assisted by the ecu or something? Should everything else be plug and play, like the starter, speed sensors and other sensors? Thanks for the help in advance.

Why on earth wouldn't you just PM the guy that built this car and ask him directly lol? He did the swap so he more than likely has all the answers...i'm aware i just bumped an old(er) post too lol

I also find it funny how sensitive people get about the damn car blowing up or getting driven off a cliff or whatever the hell happened to it haha! It's a car not a dog or living being holy christ. Yea you put a lot into your car and you love it because it's your blood, sweat, tears, and $$$ but IT'S JUST A CAR! I would cry for a day if mine got totaled but I wouldn't be all "boo hoo boo boo" about it AS LONG as noone got hurt which in this case noone did luckily.

Car was awesome though that's for sure
