So... to get a leather steering wheel you have to get the Limited model!?

I'd just get a base, then buy a leather wheel from the parts department, swaybar stuff, and some wheels instead of getting the Premium then.

Subaru really does need an entry level car now... $18,500 to start with is just too much.

The 4.3" LCD headunit is going to be the same unit found in the Current Forester Touring/Limited.

From what I have read/played with at the dealership they are actually very nice units...

Funny - my dealer said that they were junk and that I would be better off going to Best Buy to purchase something there.

Looks like the alloy wheel package you can add to the premium will get you a leather wrapped steering wheel.

But the base is so dull looking. It's all one bland color and doesn't have cruise control and other things you can probably get standard on a 12K car.

But you're right, they do need an entry level car now. I don't see many people heading over to Subaru to get a cheap, stylish compact car. If anything I think this new Impreza is going to hurt Legacy sales.

Maybe the new WRX due in 2013 will be based off a new compact model that we haven't heard about yet? If they already have a whole new design for the WRX it only makes sense to sell a cheap version of it as well.

Where on Cars101 did you see the widows are auto up/down?

Also, cars101 states the Sport trims have a different ground clearance of 5.9" (I assume that is higher than other models)

It is under "standard features"

they since changed it to

Power windows- one touch down
Still no mention of drivers side only...

Also, they list the standard ground clearance as 5.7", so it's just a .2" lift. Not sure how this compares to previous years.

Question: According to cars101, package #27 includes "stainless exhaust tip(s)". Where are the exhaust tips on the 5-door?

So far all the pictures of the 5-door I've seen has a black plastic trim at the bottom of the rear bumper and no room for exhaust tips. It must have hidden angled tips? A bit disappointing IMO...

I'm with you on this one. The tail lights on current model looks much better than the 2012 model.

On the hatch, they are angled straight down in front of the rear bumper. Just like the current Outback. The exhaust tip dress up items must apply only to the sedan.

I just don't see whatever you see.

For the PZEV, any point in getting that? Right now the state that I live in does not do emission testing. However not sure if we might move in 2-3 years. So depending on the state, will I want the PZEV or would the regular be fine (I assume that will be ULEV?)? PZEV is just a different catalytic converter and ECU, right?

I don't think it's ugly, but it is a little boring. I like the current hatch's rear better...though I like everything else on this one.

Any good pics out yet showing good shots of the striped cloth vs. Tricot fabric seats?
