Default Flat tow a BRZ?

Anyone out there know if you can flat tow a BRZ? Since it's not an AWD?

I believe the manual ones can but not the automatics. There is a blurb in the manual about never towing the automatic with the rear wheels on the ground.

Very interesting about the manuals... I would always use a flat bed just because it keeps the car off the ground and not in motion. A statue for all to see as it's carried down the road.

Honestly I can't remember the last time I saw an actual tow truck which wasn't a flatbed. The manual also recommends using dollies on whatever wheels are off the truck. Towing it with the wheels on the ground is kind of a last resort.

For RWD cars, it's suggested to remove the driveshaft when towing with the rear wheels on the ground. Not really a big deal for short distances, though. But I'm partial to flatbeds anyway. This car may be low enough that it's required...don't quote me on that.

I have already read of two BRZ's that have had bumper damage getting into a flat bed.

I tow driver should know better. We've got some pretty skilled ones up here. I've seen them get really close and do amazing things. They're just very meticulous, at least all of the ones I've ever used. When something happens to my cars I've always tried to leave them in a position where a tow truck could see the least amount of inconvenience.

Flat bed driver should be putting down blocks for low cars...if they know what they're doing.
