Default Dynomax Bullet Muffler.. how much does it help?

So I have the original Borla CBE 2.5"... sounds very nice with the deep rumble and all but it's too loud for daily driving. Very loud when you first accelerate...

After many searches, I found the solution for most was to add a dynomax resonator.. now I'm wondering how much difference does it make? I'm definitely going to be putting one in, but can't decide whether to go with the 16" or 23" length? They are both 4" ID round.

Anyone has experience with this? My goal is not to hear it inside the cabin and from the outside, louder than stock and the borla hush. I'm afraid the 23" will take it down to the Borla hugh level and the 16" to be not quiet enough. And once welded, it cannot be exchange!

Thanks guys!

You are going to want a muffler with the same inner diameter. I have put one of those (12") on an open downpipe, it quieted it down somewhat. I think it would be a good addition to an overly loud exhaust.

i also ran the 12" bullet on an open downpipe. it didnt quiet it as much as i thought it would but i have heard on this forum that it is very effective when used as a complimentary resonator rather than the primary muffler.
