Are you including elevation correction in your 600whp? That'd be quite a bit of power on a 35R at 4000 ft.

Seems like a dangerous place for a surge tank. The trunk seems wiser as there are not nearly many ignition sources vs. the engine bay during a crash.
You are absolutely correct, I made a mistake, you do in fact need a "duel Bosch 044 surge tank" and "duel pump fuel rail kit" for the e85/gt35r setup in order to make the500-850awhp.
http://www.intengineering.com/integr...ith-pumps.html

I don't take my car to the track really, and I don't plan on getting into an accident but for all intensive purposes the trunk would be a safer location. To each his own, it was just easier to put the battery in the trunk, and my tuner made the suggestion to place it in the battery location. With the e85 it already is running cooler I also have everything heat wrapped and ceramic coated so it is far from point of ignition and the tank it self is sealed well and built well. If you get into an accident you may have much bigger things to worry about...:-) Thanks for your question it helped correct my tiny misadvise.

the factory lines are enough to support well above 600whp as long as the rest of the fuel system is up to the task.

Now I'm just hoping Junior has a little free time this Friday/Saturday to get it up and running since the AP should be here on Wednesday.

I'm going to order a fuel pump today just to have it ready bc I know I'll need it. Is the walbro 400 plug and play for Subaru or is there a better option for drop in?

Make sure to utilize good size wire and that should help a lot, don't want to "short" yourself. As for the drop in size, I would hope the W400 would be good since the W255 can push quite a bit of fluid, looks like right around 300 LPH at 75psi (for the W400). I would say that's close to sufficient amount of fluid for what you're doing.

How much power do you think I could make on a hardwired 255?

I have no idea. 425 WHP on E85?

I just looked at flow rates on the 400... not quite sure what that wold equate to.

300lph@75psi which is 32 pounds of boost on stock system.

300lph=5lpm=1250CC / injector with no losses in the system.
Take out 25% and that might be accurate for the IDC you'd want to run and the losses in the system, so basically you can safely run 950cc of fuel per min at 32psi Per injector with that pump according to that graph. What that equates to in HP is beyond me.

waiting for crucifixion from kellygnsd to correct me...

425whp...guess we will see.

I know a friend made 500whp with his evo on a hardwired 255 walbro on a pt6262, 1600cc injectors, E85, etc.

Granted I don't expect to make 500whp I am curious to see the max power we will get out of the car on my pump. I threw around the idea of ordering a pump today but after all of my misfortunes with this project I am going to wait until the car is up and running like it should before worrying about cranking as much power as I can out of it.

Stock lines will not get 600whp unless you are on a dyno with some insane correction factor. That is likely the case since most shops use 15 to 20 %. On a load dyno with 1.0 correction it wont happen.

Once you change the lines out, then the flood gates open and there is plenty of fuel. I have done extensive testing on what a single pump, single with lines and dual pumps with and without lines will make.

The safety issue is a big one for me. Some modifications make the car unsafe for use on public roads. I for one, Do not care for a pressurized tank of fuel to be inside the car with me while I am doing battle with people using a cell phone while driving. One thing that is overlooked is a fuel pump cutoff. When you wire past the fuel pump controller and use relays, the fuel pumps are not going to shut off in the event of a major accident. If your rubber line that you snaked and tied under the car get cut, You can have gallons of fuel being sprayed out under or in the car.

Wiring the system up so the factory cut off still works, is a good idea. But hey. I am old. When I was 20, I did all kinds of things that where stupid.

Clark I personally trapped 108 to the 1/8th with my stock lines. I have 4-5 customers that trap high 130s and up to 143mph on stock lines with relatively full weight cars (3200+)
IMO if your trapping in the 140 range, your making 600+WHP the one car made 660whp last Friday on a dynojet. Call it high reading or low reading whatever you want, it trapped 143mph with 640 on the same dyno. I say its a "real" 600whp car no?

I have also done it on 2 cars my own and another 140mph wagon with 1 walbro400. 600whp is attainable with the stock lines and definitely not hard to do.

Rewiring the stock pump and using the factory pump control signal on will cut off if the car requires it to.

Layvon, I got your email. I am just catching up and currently on a tuning/racing spree in Chicago. I will answer you asap!

Thats the difference in the dynos. Even with the walbro 400 with stock lines you cant get 600 on a load dyno with 1.0 correction. Even with ID2000s, the pressure falls off to hard. But the difference in that dyno jet and the Maha is probably over 100WHP on those cars. They run about 10 to 12 % higher in the reading at at 500whp thats 660 on the dyno jet.

They sound like fast cars man. But in my opinion, They dont have 600+ whp. No offense to you or the owners of the cars.

So why does he have to worry about stock lines? he will never trap 143mph with a 35r

A GT35R on E85 can do 600 or more. GTX35R can do over 700. But it takes lines, FPR, Two pumps and ID2000s.

What would you say a near full weight STI trapping 140+ puts down on a "real" dyno?

hey clark why don't you tell that to Dave Buschur since his white evo makes 700whp on his low reading mustang dyno running stock lines.I don't give a schitt what your or anyone elses dyno reads, like Jr said and I have had the same results,1/4 MILE ET AND MPH DOESN'T HAVE A CORRECTION FACTOR.
