Default Dust caps

I bought a set of 16x6.5 steelies off tirerack for my 2011 WRX and didn't realize until I got them that there's no dust caps to cover the axle nut. I saw pictures of a car just like mine wit the same steelies and it didn't look like he had any dust caps. Should I not worry about it? That nut seems to be sealed but I don't want any salt and **** in there. I searched and only found 1 thread from 2001 with 3 replies that didn't help much. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Half of NASIOC doesnt use center caps. Even with center caps it doesnt seal that chamber off.

My axle stubs, axle nuts and hubs aren't rusty and the track doesn't allow center caps. Your argument is invalid.

steelies typically don't have center caps in the first place.

get a set of hub caps if you really care?

theres nothing wrong with not using them..

You must have the aluminum axles stubs, nuts, and hubs - even more JDM-tite, y0!

Which track is "the track"? None of the ones I've gone to care.

I didn't realize there was an argument being made. How about "because racecar"?

Plenty of brake clearance on the rears, probably 3/8's of an inch to half on the fronts.
