Question OT: Mazda '93 MX3 V6-Help Please?

Anybody familiar with this car? Is it a good
buy at $6500? It's got 42k miles, 5 speed,
looks decent (in picture), must be fast, huh? Thanks for any help!

There was a write-up on one in either the June or July SCC( I forget which). they were pretty impressed with it and the possibilites of suping it up.

I couldn't tell you if it is a good price. The way i would figure it out would be to:
A. Check the Bluebook stock price.
B. Find out what the engine costs from an importer.
C. Figure out some sort of value for the labor of the swap($500-1500) unless you could do the work yourself and then such a swap would be free labor.
Then do the math. Also, find out if that is 42K mi since the swap or on the car. It makes a difference since you don't really know the mileage on a used motor. Hope this helps

an old friend of mine got one quite a while ago, i never got too familiar with it but its DAMN slow, hehe

the V6 is incredibly small, i think its under 2.0l, and i raced em one time with my slightly stock 99 civic ex, and beat em by one car length. he's not that great of a driver, but damn, it was REALLY struggling

i think that for $6500 you could find quite a good deal on a nice SVX or civic, hehe
