Default Spare tire + 3 tires not stock. How long till diff dies?

I got a flat in my front passenger side tire in the sidewall. I put on the factory spare but I'm using 3 snow tires that are bigger than stock tires.

(3) Dunlop WSM3 215/45/17
(1) Spare tire 125/70/17

stock is 205/50/17

I need to use it till new tires come. My summer set is no good in this weather and they are in NH.

How long till my center diff will bind or am I over reacting?

Thanks.

On iPhone if spelling sucks**

First, you're MUCH MUCH better off with the summer tire than you are with the doughnut.

Second, you're good for 50 miles on the doughnut so if you want to push it, use the summer but even then you should minimize your driving as much as possible.

My summers are 400+ miles away in NH (NH costs $60 to swap tires vs over $100 here in NY, my family has a house in NH where i keep them).

Also, its 12 degrees outside.

I plan to get 4 new snow tires (*might just order 1 and get shaved by tire rack) due to all of this, but i need to get to work tomorrow (4 miles to the train) until i find tires.

Get in the phone book and start calling small tire shops and find a used tire shop. I used to buy used tires for $30 each just to burn them off the back of my S13 240sx.

Do you get free tire mounting somewhere or something?

Yup.

I grew up in the ghetto of Philadelphia, actually, it's all a ghetto now, but trust me things used to be different. Anyway, I digress.

There was a local bodega tire shop that sold used tires. A small hole in the wall place with a bunch of non-english speaking workers that just did this all day. $30 would get me a tire mounted and balanced. All in about 10min.

Now, they wouldn't tell you if your car was on fire, but then again, for $30 what do you expect.

They couldn't give you directions, but they were a damn abacus when it came to money.

I think you misunderstand how tire sizes work. That spare is only 3% smaller than the dunlops.

Spair is 75.1 inch circumference and the Dunlops are 77.3 inch circumference. If you are really worried about wear and tear put the spair on the front with whichever tire has the least wear. This will minimize the wear on the center and rear differentials

I wasn't sure of the math and how it related to the height difference. The spare is on the front. 08+ lost the rear diff so I'm just worried about the center.
