Default Do I really need extended warranty?

I bought my 04 WRX last nite with a 5/60,000 extended warranty that has a $50 deductible. I won't be picking her up until Monday. But I'm contemplating on whether or not I should get the warranty or not. I signed the contrat already, but I figure I can probably still back out. The cost of warranty was $700. What are some of your suggestions on this warranty issue?

thanks,

Ditch it. Subies have good reliability, and Consumer Reports recommends NOT purchasing this option.

My personal opinion is that they will fight like hell not to honor it later anyway.

There is a grace period where you can back out of your extended warranty anytime - but the sooner the easier.

Don't get it now. You can decide anytime up to the 3year/36,000 mile point where the basic warranty expires. At that point, you'll be in a better position to decide if you need or want the extended warranty.

Personally, I always pass on this stuff.

Don't make the mistake of purchasing the extended warranty. You can always get the extended warranty later!

You can cancel in the first 90 days and either get your money back (if you paid for the car outright) or have the amount taken off your loan (if you didn't)

pass on the extended warranty. they are designed to make money for subaru and not to save you any money. put your $700 in the bank and save it for a rainy day - in case you ever need repairs past the 3/36k warranty. if you need repairs you have money for them, if not, you still have your money and subaru doesn't.
