Was in Whistler on the weekend. It is busy but not stupid busy. You should have no problem getting some riding in. Lots of sales too. Fox shorts 40% off at the bike shop by the IGA. Lots of free samples from Cliff Bar and Coke. Lots of vendor tents with new bikes.

Oh yeah. I've done that in the past and its never been a problem. Lift lines are usually short and you get a unique view of course practice.

Took my bike to whistler and it came back with a couple fewer parts

Broke my derailleur hanger 5min off Garbanzo chair. Freewheeled down sans chain... hit up A-line too!

I have a Norco 6 sitting around that I haven't ridden in a while, so I might do this!

Time to revive this post since it's riding time again... I've been riding Burke mtn at least 2 times a week as long as the weather is nice... Can't miss my black 02 wrx... Anyone else ride Burke? I'd like to share what trails I feel are the best

I ride burke sometimes, I need to finish my Transition Patrol first, but my 5MT swap is taking up all my bike funds!

Have a kid now so the 2 dozen whistler day seasons are a thing of the past. I am however, getting a solo Burnaby Mountain ride in every week. Which has been great for fitness and sanity. Plus we moved to Coquitlam so my weekly ride leaves straight from my driveway. Win win!

Also, I'd like to make a general statement about just how good bikes have become in the last 2 years. The rise of Enduro racing seems to have accelerated bike tech at a rate not seen since the early 2000's. Hell, my new "XC" bike has 140mm travel, but goddamn, does it handle everything but the scariest downhills as good as my DH bike does... And it weighs less than 30lbs! New wheelsize, geometry, suspensions are changing the game big time.

Hahaha Yup! Enduro for the win.

How's Gearjammer looking these days? Also, definitely give upper snake a try. Its "closed" but actually, just a steep loam factory. Lovely.
