I run a 235-40-18 and will probably go to a 245-40-18 next. No rub at all but it makes a big difference if you have any aftermarket suspension. I have an adjustable coilover that I played with for awhile before I got it to just the right height.

i run a 265/35/18 right now, but i wouldn't suggest it for everyone.

a 255/35/18 is the correct diameter if you have the suspension to handle it.

a good 235/40/18 (RE01R, AD07, RS2, RT615) wont look too skinny on an 8.5" wheel, some more narrower tires could though.
