Ugh. Just gotta make time for it. I gotta stop by the shop to pick them up on my way home, then do some warehouse action to install them. Maaaaybe Friday afternoon, otherwise I won't do it until next Monday. Maybe Saturday afternoon, but not positive.

It's hard lookin' so good.

You actually could. I'm hanging out with buddies watching Venture Bros. I'm getting picked up from my house at 6 since there's limited parking where he's at. The keys will be in the key tray at home if you just want to pop in and take the car for a spin. Maybe you can do it in Kaitlin or Kevin's garages?

I'll hit them both up and see if I can grab some garage time. If so I'll definitely take you up on the offer.

Thanks to kyletakahero and insane_one, my car looks super sexy now! The STI side markers do actually look more aggressive than the JDM/EDM clear side markers and the white LEDs match the headlight "halos" pretty well. I'll snap a pic when my new camera arrives.

Thanks, guys!

I think there was a GD chassis thread about making them into usable turn signals...I'd pick up clear markers if I could put bulbs in there that blinked orange with my turn signals. Though maybe that would look stupid? Really, I just like having turn signals in the side-view mirrors...

Looks nice! But what's different about these than the JDM/EDM ones?

I'll probably make mine blink, I just found the instructions in a box in my office. Almost threw it out because the first page was a template for cutting the GD fender.

That close up shot in the first pic is there to show you that the STI ones have a design that sticks out from the car, adding some aggression. Otherwise I believe the non-USDM markers are the exact same as the orange ones, only clear and flat.

I never thought about making them blink... I'm assuming resistors would be required since the lights wouldn't be at a constant state then?

Shift knob is boss.

I really prefer the lighter shift knob. I'm not sure what the craze is about heavier, weighted knobs, but I like the raw feeling and feedback of the shift lever engaging with each shift. The smooth material is preferred over the leather, too, but I could see how it wouldn't be preferred for maybe autox if your palms are prone to sweat. However, I'd just wear gloves in that instance.

I just updated my post that has my stuff listed out. Looking at the STI short shifter to fix that. I may buy that with my tax returns next month or I may be responsible and wait... !!!

The best thing about the delrin/plastic knobs is that you don't need gloves to shift when the car has been sitting in sub zero temps overnight like you do with a solid metal knob.

That's for true, CJ. Sho nuff.

On another note, we got our Sony camera today! I'll finally be able to take some decent pictures now whenever the camera can be shared.

I find the steering wheel to be much colder than the knob in these cars.

I was talking about solid metal aftermarket knobs.. so unless you have a solid metal steering wheel, I doubt it.

I want a steering wheel made of safety glass.

Stock, the steering wheel in the BRZ is the coldest steering wheel of any Subaru I've ever handled. I would love to have it wrapped in Alcantara or something to match the interior. I'm not crazy about the suede or carbon fiber aftermarket wheels I'm seeing.

I've decided that I'm going to stick with the black/red them for the interior, but keep up the the black/blue theme for the exterior. Blood vs Crip in this b! My BRZ is conflicted!
