Default 2007 STI Swap to 2.5RS Coupe GC8 Build Log of BoristheAnimal

Welcome to the Build Log.

I always wanted to do an STI swap in a 2 door RS GC8, and I finally got financially stable enough to do so.

At any case this tuesday 08.07.2012 I purchased a 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI which was smashed in the rear end, and decided to make the swap happen.

My understanding is it was a Colorado car, maybe some one on here even owned it previously

Looks to be a sweet project. I have a similar one, 207 for mine though. Swaping it into my first car a 97 coupe. Just saving up to get the jdm 6 speed.

Sidebar, wonder how the ass of that car got so messed up? Semi needed to stop?

im guessing a large pick up truck, since impact went up, dude spilled his drink, sticky **** every where.

Good luck on yours, its always better to have everything, then to be finding bits and pieces down the road

This is sweet. Mind saying what you picked the STI up for? I'd love to do this in the future and was wondering what they go for wrecked.

Also, were all the parts besides the rear bumper/trunk stuff salvageable? Like rear wheels, axles, etc?

an 07 sti will go anywhere between 8900-18000 depending on condition at a Dealer Auction.

It also has to do with Title if Salvage or Clean, mileage, extent of damage. Cars with front end intact are a lot more valuable though.

I got a pretty sweet deal for mine though, but I wont say. And I was only bidding on a car where everything I needed was intact, the only part I needed that was broken was the fuel pump ECU, which I found for $50 bux. Everything else is solid and in one piece. Crumple zones are pretty cool
