Ryan Wilcox of River Valley Rally may need someone with a street car for his Recce:

If you can do it and want to support a grassroots rally driver driving a Subie then Call ECS Performance and they will put you in touch with him.

Looks like I am the ATC captain for team B this year.

I'll be the guy in the BDU field jacket.

He wont' be making 100AW as far as I read, something concerning a personal injury?

He was skiing in Austria, and broke some bones (ribs and something else, I can't remember), as well as a concussion.

It's pretty much a RallyX set up. Mainly a way for a large number of spectators to get to see all the cars pretty close up.

It's in Potosi, where it was last year, and the year before that.

Agreed. That will be very, very sketchy.

Heading down tonight. Can't wait. First time I don't have any actual duties at this one.

Getting there was more than half the challenge this year:

The first five pictures are within about fifteen minutes, and the final picture about 20 minutes after that.

Luckily, I was recruited to go to Salem on Wednesday evening with a driver who wanted to use my bugeye for recce. We got there just after the ice pellets started and the roads were still passable. While my car was out and about I was helping Curt set up temporary chicanes on Pigeon Roost and Floyd Tower (thank you, RallyAmerica) and by that time the roads were, in a word, challenging.

Just like last year, ATC on our second stage of the day turned into a traffic jam. I had a good team, and the co-drivers were understanding, so it all worked out. I will be taking warmer shoes next year though - sneakers & slush don't work well together.

Last but not least - thank you to the teams who took the time to clean off your car numbers. My team's Executive Vice President In Charge of Completing The Start Log thanks you, and my Start Radio operator thanks you.

Well despite the weather my Brother and I had a great time traveling to Missouri and 100aw from pittsburgh, great people, great race and neat little towns. Its the farthest west I've driven, been farther by plane, think i will fly next time, whew long drive! Wanted to say Thanks to all the staff and volunteers especially stage 9 on saturday, I heckled you guys a lot (all in good fun).

The cars should have had 2" numbers in white on the upper right corner of the windshield. I know we put them on our 50 year old SAAB that we ran at 100 Acre Wood, but I saw a number of other competitors without them. Don't know why tech let them through.
