Finally Converted - MY00 GC8 Impreza RX
So it was finally time that I joined what the VW enthusiasts call, the dark side.
After spending about three years of time and a decent amount of cash, I ended up with a VW like this. The white one, black hood and custom built BBS RS's. Now, it is time to upgrade and I bought this two days ago. This was her first wash last night. Details are as follows. 99 Subaru Impreza RX. AWD, EJ20, Factory WRX body kit, Factory sunroof. 206,xxx km's, full service history, minor scuff mark on the passenger door. Very clean car interior wise, a little sag in the roof lining near the back window but easy fix. I have a GDB WRX STi dash cluster that I bought a while back, will this just bolt in and all the wires all work?

Yeah, it's definitely an upgrade from a 73 Super Beetle to this Subaru!
I'll probably start flooding this forum with a lot of noob questions when it comes to engine modifications and what not, but all in due time. Have some decent plans for this clean little Subaru. Should be something different! |

I was about to say... if you bought a new Beetle you might as well hand in your balls.

Couple of things I've already done include removing the RX Impreza sticker from the trunklid and the hood ornament has also been removed. I'm hoping to have the fart cannon muffler removed and put a twin pipe MagnaFlow style muffler there instead. Then just need to find some UEL headers. I've been told that I should be able to fit EJ22/25 headers, but it just depends whether or not it meets up with my cat correctly. Will post photos of where the first cat is in the next couple of days. |

Crap quality iPhone picture, but it'll do.
But hood ornament removal was successful. Needs a machine buff to remove some scuff marks left from it. Hopefully doing the exhaust this Saturday/next week some time. |
