And Orion, what was your time for December? I only beat you by 1.555 sec. in a non turbo RS Quit picking on Jmott , once he learns how to control all that power we're gonna be in trouble

Only 1.555 That's pretty weak! Your modded RS should whip the snot out of a stock auto wagon!!!!

Besides, I gotta point out I drove someone else's car to beat him since I can't do it in my own!!!

so...

...Orion didn't...

Moral of the story is:

Don't hit cones or spin, cuz it's your fault, not an excuse.

Now, I have no excuse, I just suck!

well said. we had a discussion about this at the Jan. event. Just cause you cone doesn't mean you can subtract 2 sec form your time to give you a 'what if' time. jmott has owned me thus far, and every run I get close, I cone. We're gonna have a lot of fun this year owning STU!!! (Let's just set a goal to beat that teal Civic!!! )

I'll be there for my first AutoX. Never even really seen one, really curious. Any important tips someone can give me? I know my car's limits and abilitys, but I'm sure it got to be different in an auto cross. I'm used weaving in and out of neibhoorhood streets at 40mph.

Greg, my advice is:

Blame your car? The Auto Wagon speaks for itself! I may have to ask William to let me run it every time! Honestly I think I learned more from his car since I didn't have to worry about shifting, I just concentrated on braking points (still my weakest ability).

Greg - you'll quickly learn how little you actually know about your car. this is actually a very good thing. you won't put yourself in dangerous situations in everyday driving.

Ok, I think my goal is going to be not on time, but to not knock any cones over. Must concentrate on turning before speed, right?

He only won 5 out of 12 races I won 2, steve won 2, Chris won 2, and the March results don't exist. I think these 3's are correct, I'm going to check them right now

Even better goal: Don't DNF. This one should always be #1 for a noob. You'll be shocked at how easy it is to DNF.

Did Not Finish.

If you go the wrong way through a directional slalom (1st one above) or miss a gate, you get a DNF = No Time.

Did not finish!

I ran all 3 runs w/o dnf'ing or hitting a cone!

Unfrotunaltely I don't think I even came near any cones, cuz my times were kinda slow...

Oh, wait, I did almost take out like 6! Luckily just before I hit the first in a long line, I steered out of it!
