Default CEL = engine coolant temp. sensor

I had a CEL and it was caused by the engine coolant temp. sensor. I have a Hyanes book and it says it is under the passenger side intake manifold on the coolant pipe.

Am I looking in the right place?
Has anyone had to replace one?
And if so did you do it or have a mechanic?

Thanx
Ron

Default

I have recently replaced this sensor. It's threaded into the coolant crossover pipe,
a.k.a "water manifold" , under the no.3 intake runner, with the connector pointing nearly
rearwads. It's hidden by wiring harnesses and hoses. Look straight down near the idle
air controller on the right side of the throttle body. The socket size is 19 mm.
My reply to your previous thread posted but did not bump the count.
