Default 2013 STi motor mount issue

Anyone else having problems with the drivers side motormount nut coming lose and falling off? I brought my car to subaru and they said it was "an epidemic" and that they wouldn't be able to get a new nut until subaru finds out what the problem is.

A pic would certainly help. The part I don't get is that OP basically said Subaru couldn't do anything about the issue but yet it's an epidemic?

Never seen it at our dealership, and we have bins of nuts that would do just fine,no need to order the subaru one?? Very strange.

No I do care, I've been busy and the car was at Subaru for the whole time it didn't leave till it was fixed. No idea why they said it was an epidemic the nut came in a day later

Yes please inform all of us about this because I work at Subaru and have not heard of this epidemic at all.

Yes. When I first had my car I kept hearing this metallic snapping sound after pushing the clutch in under load. Turns out the drivers side motor mount was half way off. They torqued it back down and its been fine ever since (9k miles).

Had this same problem! Just diagnosed after 3 months of fighting and a broken axle. It appears the nut has been replaced with a new part number, as the original was repurposed from the OUTBACK SEATBELT REEL.
