Yet another reason why the most complicated item I'll ship is a shift lever.
(Okay, I did send my old Morettes to Mick down south, but I probably overpacked it; he commented on it when it arrived.).

I go to wal-mart, buy a 5$ pillow, and shove it in there.

[tangent]

I'm no expert in the field of loans and I'm not suggesting anyone is lying (actually I'm more curious how this is possible), but at 18, you've got little to no credit rating, 2 years of part time work in your pocket and are pretty high risk as far as holding a job. How does one get a car loan at 18 without a co-signer? Then there's insurance (at 18, I can't imagine full coverage) plus repairs and expenses...

Rough estimate but I'm thinking average cost to own the car has to be around $1k a month ($500 for payment, $300 insurance, $200 gas and expenses). That's like $17 an hour at 20 hours a week.

What the heck did I do wrong in high school? I was driving a $500 beater and learned a lot of auto maintenence due to lack of funds. I made $8-$10 an hour, worked weekends, and full timed in the summer.

Again, don't take this as an attack, it's not. I'm impressed you can afford a car like an STi at 18, I'm just baffled at how without help. I know I couldn't do it.

[/tangent] (mostly I didn't want to post in the for sale section)

I am co-owner of a business

having a large-limit corporate credit card in your name does wonders for your credit rating

I would like to field this one Trebek...

Actually, by 19, I was subcontracting and making roughly 30 dollars an hour. I made my own hours and had up to 6 ppl working FOR me. I think at that time my credit rating was around a 750. It is much better right now.

That is roughly why by 21 I bought a new WRX, by 22 bought a new STI, 23 bought another STI, and 24 bought a new townhouse.

And I'm just a poor teacher

It can be done, it's just hard work. I can remember putting in many many many 100+ hour work weeks, sleeping at work for a couple hours only to work all day long.

I don't doubt Ted makes his own money. The only problem I have with Ted is that he is probably doing a lot better than I am right now.

So Lexington, are you out of school already? That would make a lot more sense. I can't imagine co-owning a business while in school, though I don't doubt it's possible.

And I think a certain person just wanted to list off his toys. blah balh STi blah blah townhouse, blah blah poor teacher my arse!

I'm just a poor computer engineer...

Well.. I'm technically enrolled in college.. I just barely go and pass by doing 10 minutes of internet research before finals

Once I get my associates, I'm going to a 4-year university to get my degree in something.

Gotcha. My reality is again back to normal. Thanks for all the info, btw. I was so confused as to how this was possible while in high school. But add another year to that and life is good again. lol. Good luck!
