Big enough?

A few weeks means, don't be hopeful until it happens. We're all jaded because of Cobb and their lousy promises.

There is so many other options for tuning, AP is not the only one, there are better EMS out there. Moristech for example is a great EMS from AUS.

Those brackets can be pretty tricky sometimes

This kit is currently available so long as you organise the tuning of the engine yourself

Kind regards

That's awesome I have an 08 2.5i and saw the raptor a few months ago but the description on the website seems vague.

and with a tune would I be able to safely run it on my stock engine?

This was started at rs25 at the end of last year. Seems to have fizzled out.
http://www.rs25.com/forums/f14/t1172...pre-order.html
As far as I can tell, Group A is no longer.

I think the cost factor is what keeps this kind of kit from taking off. I was interested in something like this for my OBS. However, for the same investment, I could trade my car in and get a WRX that is factory tuned to work smoothly and has tougher internals. Other than hiding performance from your auto insurance company, I don't think most people would pay the same or more for this than the cost of a WRX.

Don't get me wrong, as I'd love to see more go-fast stuff offered for us n/a guys, but I just don't think it is cost effective for most circumstances. Maybe I'm wrong completely. Hopefully I am.

Fizzled out? The thread on RS25 is over 270 pages long. That was only a vendor FS thread for the product.

Well, I meant the kit sale attempt fizzled out. Any former web pages of Group A are MIA now. I know the interest is there, as I would love to be able to hook a s/c up to my Impreza without having to figure out the fabbing of brackets and dealing with the trial and error of the whole process. This kit was just priced too high to be practical for people like me, pushing near the $4,000 mark.

Group A is no longer. The only products he has available now are just the ones left in stock from their retailers.

Last I checked it wasn't nearly that high in cost...more like $3000 - $3500. The $4000 was in Australian dollars. While the cost still may seem high, in comparison to the bolt on kit by AVO for the RS, this is right around the same price range.

EDIT: According to the first page of the thread on RS25

Quote:
Not intercooled 5.2 psi boost AUD$4400 (USD 2500.00) based on .64cent AUD and AUD local tax removed
I'm not sure of the cost of the higher boost and intercooled versions.
