Default schlong8 what suspension setup do you have?

Im curious as to what you have going on there. Im asking because im going to be some improvements after xmas and i like the way your car handles (from watching it a auto x)

so far im going with:
kyb agx to go with my eibach springs
front and rear HD endlinks (either the new whitelines another similar style)
a Whiteline or cusco (i may have a hookup) adj RSB 20-24
whiteline HD mounts
whiteline diff bushings ( i want to get rid of the clunk during spirited shiftings)
whitline power stering rack bushings (i got them for free)
goodridge SS brake lines(to be put in when i swap the shocks)
new brake pads and fluid
And then, if have any money left over and am able to source the parts at a resonable price, i am planning on doing the RS to WRX front brake swap and the RS to H6 rear brake swap.

Am i over doing it? what do you have?
Others are welcome to respond as well.

Have you thought of the classing of your car with the mods?

Tires? what are you using? Driver training?

I don't know what your skill level but auto-x is:

90% is the driver and 10% is the car...

i dont plan on actually compeditively(sp?) competing so i dont care which class im in, i would be auto xing just to build up experience and driver training. As for the tires, i would go wtih a set of r compounds (chris suffered in red deer because of this) on my stock RS wheels.

i just want to get out there and have some fun and learn what me and my car can do.

whoa, good thing i actually check the board once and awhile.

i have tein springs and agx struts.
whiteline adjustable sway bar 20-24 (set at 24 all the time )
whiteline hard mounts
whiteline end links
whiteline antilift kit.

I was running on Azenis last season, and they are great.......only problem was that when the weather heated up, the R's had a definate advantage and that's where i lost out at Nationals. The tires just couldn't take the heat, and got slick.

Here's the site for the WCMA.

http://www.wcma.ca/solo.htm

There are discussions about going to CNAC rules next year so here's the link for those.

Forget about the WRX front brake swap. They are the same calipers with an additional mount that allows it to use larger rotors & slightly different shaped pads. Just buy the WRX caliper mounting bracket from the dealer & a set of aftermarket WRX rotors and pads. The RS, WRX & H6 all have the same rear caliper according to my info.

thats what my plan is. i was just looking for the caliper bracket and some nice rotors. Look up the H6 conversion on the "brakes and supension" fourm or scooby mods. The rear brakes are quite a bit bigger. It is suposed to even out the front/rear brake balance a little.

it is, to say the least, an interesting mod.

Try getting performance pads for the H6 rear brakes. Again the caliper mounting is different which allows for the larger rotor. I guess I see it as a cost-performance benefit. Without performance pads the upgrade to the larger rear brakes is not worth it, just for a little fade resistance? A brake bias controller & high friction pads are a much more worthy investment. But hey, don't let m stop you. I like the idea of car improvement w/ factory reliability.

Sorry, I guess my sarcasm doesn't come across well in type. I have looked and have yet to find performance pads for H6 rear brakes. There is planty available as aftermarket replacements but they are the same (manufacture) as the OEM ones. I mean to say high fricton, high performance pads are not available, yet.

oh... i didnt catch that.

oh well, i guess i will go with OEM until some develop.

The brake swap is last on the list for a reason... if id dont get around to it then oh well, i still have a car that can handel fairly well.
