OK...you asked for...but if there is a ban you asked for it.
The car had a TSR70 kit on it... then the cracking started and APS could not supply me any parts. The up pipe cracked at a couple of places...by the way it was not wrapped. So there I was...cracked pipes...no spare parts availible. Bought a Roger Clark rotate pipe work kit...RHD car... bought a single scroll garret .82 housing....fitted it....there you are. It is a Cosworth longblock 2,6 hydra ems with Phil base map fuel E50 my own mix as we cant buy E85 here in South Africa 1000cc injectors with bosch 044 intank 26psi boost The single out spool the twin...and out powered. |

If the car used the same fuel, map, etc, it was not tuned for. I would think that tuning for a new and different set up would be required. Spool time is going to be different, fuel and ignition timing at various load points is going to be different. Good comparison would be with the new single scroll tuned for AND the old one not having issues.
But if the twin scroll had an exhaust leak it is not going to spool up or make power as well. I personally have heard of that same kit breaking on a couple cars now at the headers. I have not seen any real impressive numbers out of those twin scroll kits. I wonder if the header was having issues from the start? Last edited by crashtke; 01-28-2010 at 03:14 PM. |
